Vinyl Scratch and Octavia Fillharmonic. Both mares are on different sides of the coin of music. Vinyl is all for the wild and crazy side with bass filled music in the world of "Wubstep." Octavia, on the other hand, is a more sophisticated and enjoys playing classical music on her cello in front of calm and patient ponies. Vinyl and Octavia would fight for hours on end about what is right and what is "uncouth." But it would end up as a tie and they choose to forget.
Years after their friendship began, deep inside Vinyl, was a strange liking for her exact opposite. Eventually, they became an item. After their break-up, Vinyl found her true feelings for the other. Now she's on a mission to right her wrongs.
And to tell Octavia her true feelings.

I liked this a lot as an introduction to the story! I did wonder why Vinyl's goal was achieved right away, unless it's to highlight the really important thing to her is Octavia, and not her rating? Vinyl seems cute in this, and I wanna see what she's like with Tavi. :3
Good work on getting your story started! It looks like you have a lot to go, but this seems like a great beginning. My last piece of feedback is to think about dialogue tags--you use a lot of them, like "Neon chuckled", when you don't really need them. Since we know there are only two ponies speaking, you can do stuff like:
"Pizza again?"
"Nah, I'm going to be cooking. I've been practicing behind her back."
"Nice."
And so on. Just something I found helpful for my own writing that you might try. :) Thanks for sharing your story! :D
