A young Fancy Pants joined the Equestrian army's military loan to Prance program with hopes to see the world. However he gets more than he expected when he's assigned to the Prance/Griffin Empire border town of La Frontière.

Note: While this does take place in the same Universe as "The Visitor" it takes place 20 years earlier. So reading it is not needed to enjoy the story.
