Well, in the story before this, Applejack and Rainbow were having another contest to see who was stronger. Neither one of them knew Twilight was in the human world, they just thought she forgot to turn the machine powering the portal off. So Applejack wouldn't have been angry. As for Rarity, I suppose I could have had her be a little mad, but because she forgot to tell Rainbow just like Pinkie and Flutters did, she wouldn't really have had a good reason to be angry.
Really? A whole week and nobody thought that maybe she was in the human world? And then Rainbow goes in all alone? And doesn't notice the obvious mind controlled people everywhere? Boy those ponies seem to be holding onto the idiot ball for dear life.

I appreciate your feedback. Now I ask for you to understand a few things.
Seeing as how no one told Applejack and Rainbow Dash that Twilight was in the human world in the previous story, they closed the portal. Rarity, Pinkie, and Flutters upon seeing said closed portal must have thought Twilight returned home.
Rainbow Dash would then go into the portal alone because out of the rest of the Main 5, her other duties as a weather mare could be covered by other pegasi. Everyone else had other responsibilities that couldn't be handled by another pony. Coupled with the fact that they were facing an unknown world, they all might have been afraid, other than Applejack and Rainbow Dash.
And upon entering said unknown world, Rainbow sees people with glowing eyes and rings. Seeing as how she knew absolutely nothing about what the other people in this world looked like, she just thought that was normal. Plus as said in the first chapter, the students were acting as they normally do. Unlike in the previous story where Twilight saw all of them just staring at the stage until they were ordered by Adagio to bring her to them.

I think it's not that dificult to choose who to pair with after all two out of three magician unicorn has a paired so even if it is a bit obvious i'd believe that a great and powerfull companion deserves Aria.

The portal destroyed, well done on piling on the totally screwed and Sonata having an evil moment just adds a cherry on the cake of screwedness. All we need is for the dazzlings to kick a puppy and Twilight's failure is complete, Epic Darth Vader reverence, I love how they delight in their evil.
I would love to see a sequel with Sanata being reformed. Oh come on MLP lives off reforming it's villians, it's like Yu-Gi-oh, rather than killing their villians, off to the shadow relm with them and you know I'm right. It'd be nice to see Sanata help free Twilight and her friends. Even find a way to return to Equestria but I'll take one siren reformed and freedom for Canterlot high. Story red 9 and 3 quarters out of 10.
How is Rainbow not curious as to why they yell "How did you manage to break free from our control?"
That would pull a few red flags.
