Spoilers for Xenoblade: Chronicles ahead
Upon the defeat of the god, Zanza, Shulk wished for a world without gods. His wish came true. All trace of Zanza's and Meyneth's existences were erased from his world as it was reborn.
But the power of the two gods could not be erased as easily.
Zanza, with the power of two gods at his disposal, as he was purged from the universe of his creation, fell through the gaps between universes, landing at last in one where he would finally come to. A world where he could start again. Where he could begin anew his reign as a god, create life subservient to him, against the will of that world's leaders, without his full strength-
What do you mean 'without full strength?' No matter. I still wield the power of both of the original Monados. They shall fall, as Meyneth had so easily-

Er, that is, he must reclaim the powers that are so rightfully his, even if he must work with the mortals that live there in order to do so.

If you've not played Xenoblade: Chronicles, I highly recommend it. Lengthy game with amazing story.

This whole thing is Dumb as fuck he said it himself he can undo the seal himself it would take time but he could do it. Not hating on the story but Celestia really doesn't have much to hold him on besides not trusting him which is a smart thing on her part. I mean I get that he doesn't want to drawn attention or cause trouble that could hinder him in the future but In my opinion he's better off leaving Ponyville and going off the radar for a while
5989987 Fair point. But I was referring to how low power he was after the battle with Meyneth. It would take him at least as long as the point of his imprisonment to his release to recover energy sufficiently, and even that would be the Monado ii, only.
And really, who'd want to wait a thousand years for true godhood when you know exactly how amazing that feels?
It's in his best interest to go along with it for now, anyway. The sooner he gets that power, the better. Not to mention the mortals found one, maybe they'll find the other, too.
Zanza seems a bit narcissistic, using complex words.

I love writing characters people can hate, especially when it's because they're right. Glad you're enjoying it!
You need some pretty serious editing with this story, and Zanza's, ah, complex can be tiresome to read about. But this is an interesting story nonetheless.

Great story so far, but I don't think Zanza would be this rude, just bitter about being bested by Shulk. I mean, he's still a jerk, but this is a little extreme.

My headcannon: Zanza hates royals in particular, as they think themselves in charge. Also the High Entia Royals were his captors for nigh on a thousand years.
Twilight did not think through her plan to introduce him into town. He found it insulting that she put so little thought into what was now essentially her mission. And not to mention how little thought she put into his introduction.
He finds the cowardice to be both amusing and annoying. Something so cowardly should not have become so dominant; it is against nature, and against what he thinks it should be. So he contented himself with using this against them inconspicuously, under the guise of good-natured-ness.

Oh, and mortals killed him. That too.
I think he's at least entitled to these thoughts of disdain.
The next chapter is written, by the way, I just keep forgetting to post it, because I want to post it at a time where a lot of people are online, so it gets more exposure. Soon though.
It isn't particularly necessary to set Meyneth's thoughts aside <like this>. You seem to be using third person limited perspective, so Zanza and Meyneth's thoughts aren't going to be expressed in the same scene.

You overlooked a huge detail about the Monado: it only can't harm those who share the blood of Zanza. The ponies don't share his blood, so those guards should've been slaughtered.
