Twilight Sparkle, the element of magic and personal protege of Princess Celestia, on day stumbles across a a strange book entitled "Death Note." By simply knowing one's face and writing their name in the book, that pony will die within 40 seconds, unless the desired death is specified. Twilight decides to use this power to create a new Equestria with no crime or violence by killing off all of the criminals. Princess Luna decides to personally see to it that the pony nicknamed "Kira" is caught before anymore death can occur.

Light was a straight A student who when given power, decided it was in everyones best interest for the world to work his way. Death note for me was mostly interesting because his logic was sound in his own twisted way , the gods of death didn't twist him into the monster he became, he did everything of his own volition and stuck to his morals.
Twilight Sparkle is a straight A student , who has seen a lot of very nearly world ending events, are you saying there isn't some very small chance that given the choice one version of her wouldn't try to work for the better good and relatively painlessly take out what she sees as against the common good?
She could rationalise it ; She's practically a god now what with being an alicorn now isn't it her right to make these sorts of decisions ? Shouldn't she be able to help Pony society along what see sees is best? You know Celestia and Luna as thousand year rulers must have imprinted their own ideas onto everyone ; twilight would just be taking a small shortcut. This way she wouldn't have to wait out the years for them to die of natural causes.
Half expected her to write 'Rainbow Dash'.
