27450 I suppose I could have written a story consisting of a series of flashbacks revolving around OC ponies. Although that kind of narrative structure works in the game, that would have been hard to pull off in a fanfic. Maybe I could save that idea for a spin-of, but for this story, anyway, I want a story that is more focused on the Mane 6 rather than on flashbacks.

89817 The game its based off of? Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, It was meant to make the player feel hopeless, as well as drive your character crazy. Eventually leading to them commiting suicide! So I would say this is a damn good fic!

What I had in mind was that Equestria is its own universe separate from the one the games take place in. How this all fits in is deliberately kept vague, but basically what I tentatively had in mind when I wrote this story is that it takes place in an alternate dimension before the events on earth, and the Ancients were merely dimensional hopping.
