Discord never did strike Applejack as somebody she could trust. Heck, when he was evil, she at least had an idea of what to do about it. Now, he seems more or less a nuisance than anything else.
AJ takes pride in her work. No pony can question that. But Discord believes that's just because she's never had the power to do anything differently. So he makes an offer. He'll loan a copy of his powers at no charge. How long will she be able to resist the easy road when it also seems right?

maybe i'm surprised because Discord is my favorite...In other news, this is great! You DO write Discord very well.
So are you gonna show this to Dr. Wolf then? Pretty awesome situation to explore.
And Applejack has already lost to Discord by Rainbow Dashing herself. I guess the wish also taught her the basics of flight and took away her fear of heights.
This actually reminds me of an idea for a story I had where Discord, after hearing an upset AJ complain about how much she hates lies, decides to do her a favor and makes it so that everyone in Equestra is completely honest.
Society collapses in a matter of hours.
You adapted the story very well.. I just hope it doesn't follow it exactly, but you seem to be adding little details.

Interesting read...but, yeah. It does suffer a bit from having, well...no conflict. And, even for a slice of life story...
Nothing really happens. There are some nice scenes, but, well...Applejack resists temptation FLAWLESSLY. Compared to, say, ST: TNG's handling of this...twice, it rather lacks.
That said, it's still a fun slice of life story. (Hence the face + Upvote.) Also...you never DID explain the .6 of a wish!
