When I'm bored I spout out random stories that may or may not get continued on, let's see where it goes though eh?

Oh how I have been searching for a proper M:TG/MLP crossover. I hope you can deliver.

Agreed, can not wait to see where this goes.:pinkiehappy:

Two words summarize my feeliings of this story so far:
"Fuck" and "Yes"
You must continue, my happiness depends on it! I believe in you!

STOLE MY IDEAAAA

AND WROTE IT WITH BAD GRAMMARRRRRRR

haha picture drew me in. just started playing MTG myself so.... :P

When I read Innistrad, I laughed so much. These ponies gonna get attacked by humans, werewolves, zombies, ghostieaohagsu! GIGGLE AT THE GHOSTLY! :pinkiegasp: The show must go on. In other planes, can they all become planeswalkers? PLEASE!? Twi's magic is Equestrian, any race can be MTG adept. So much power battles. Pony will become a tribe by next year no doubt. And ponies would be super duper individualized but complimentary. 'At the beginning of your upkeep, put an apple counter on Sweet Apple Acres. Remove an apple counter from Sweet Apple Acres, target pony gets +0,+3 until end of turn. You gain one life.' :rainbowderp:

This is a cool idea but I have one questions:
is Twilight the only planeswalker or are the others planeswalkers too?
Anyway that said the first part of the story was poorly written. I know that you were sort of trying to skip past it and get to Innistrad but still, I was very tempted to stop reading halfway through the second paragraph. Also there are some serious issues with grammar present and that action scene was quite poorly written.
I'm still going to read this though because I love magic the gathering and I want to see were this goes.

should not rainbow dash start with a large number of loyalty counters? let alone the color issues mentioned by 532547

Applejack is OP.

I literally grabbed the first picture that caught my eye, if you can find/create a better one I would happily replace it.

Yo.. MTG ponies....hell yea.

Whoo! keep going!
That said, I've never thought of JAce as being on first-name terms with Sorin, but that's just me.
Also: first post?

536252
Hmmm, good point, I'll swap the part where Sorin is yelling, after that it's kind of just normal.

536396
Well, I was just saying my POV, the story looks great so far, and I haven't seen any others in this vein (if you'll pardon the vampire pun) and I really hope you continue!

536479

Indeed I just felt this story building up inside of me and I just had to let it *bleed out*, of course when I posted it I fully suspected several people to bring up that this story sounded like a *blood line* relative of some other story. When I didn't I was rather interested by the lack of it. I of course appreciate the opinions of all my readers and view them as my *life blood*.

Never could pass up an opportunity for punning around.

I have been waiting for this for far to long. Thank you, and insta-track.

536522
The puns. . . they burn my soul. . .

Umm, I think that you're thinking a little too far into this lore wise. In my story, where ponies come across planeswalkers, lore is more of a guideline for how the planeswalker act. Ponies aren't apart of the lore right now so I'm really just taking a leap of faith.

538681
Nah, it's okay, on the bright side I know who to talk to if I need info on the lore.

Magic...and ponies.
I'm starting to like this.
Throw in Tezzeret and I'm completely sold on this.

I've been waiting to see how somebody would do a crossover with MTG and MLP, and it's awesome!:rainbowdetermined2:
honestly I've thought about doing one myself, but got side trackd by other ideas:twilightblush:

Man, it's been so long since I played Magic, I pretty much don't know anything about what's going on with the game and its story anymore. I stopped playing around the end of the Mirrodin block, and collected a small number of cards from some of the next few sets after that. So, yeah, I barely even know how planeswalker cards work, and have no idea what any of them are like as storyline characters. I keep expecting Sorin and Jace to attack the ponies, but I guess they really are decent guys?

Urza never got his own card, did he?

I really like the idea, and this story shows a LOT of promise, but I just can't read this. The poor editing is too distracting. :fluttershysad:

Needs Memnarch. (I just like the card /)^3^(\ And yes I know they are not on Mirrodin.) :ajbemused::flutterrage::pinkiesmile::rainbowderp::raritystarry::twilightangry2:

You know, I feel like I've seen these planeswalker effects before. Also, why is RD Izzet? She feels more mono-red.

Old worm like slivers or the new humanoid slivers?

4349553 Cool I like both of them personally, but something about the humanoid ones just seems more threatening. I guess it like they say "More disturbing than the unknown is a distortion of the familiar."

4349553
I prefer the old slivers, for one, they had the disadvantage of pumping other people's slivers at the same time, unlike these pansy, selfish new ones. They also appeared more graceful, at least in my opinion.

4349774
Fleshmad Steed's quote, huh? Nice.

4392470 If your oppenent doesn't use slivers in your match, then the slivers that pumps all slivers on the battlefield wouldn't a disadvantage anymore. Then your local game store has a player dominate FNM with their sliver deck. Especially when they pull the "Virulent Sliver" and trample on all slivers combo :ajbemused:...

6538774
Or, y'know, use anything with Changeling.

6538827 Bad memories :applecry:... such dark times...

6538874
And yet the Tides of Morning returned.

Wither is still a (balance-wise) superior ability to Infect. I'm sorry, as powerful as the Phyrexians were supposed to be, I don't like the idea of breaking the game to make a point. If they wanted to have Infect be so prolific, they should've had more abilities that remove counters from players, too.

6538940 I honestly love the Phyrexia. That's actually the block that I got into Magic. But to be fair, I only play it within my group of friends that want to fuck around playing casually to this day.
On the subject about slivers, I honestly don't like to play them. Yes it has so much synergy among each other, but it basically plays itself which my friends and I find boring. Unless we have a one-on-one sliver battle, now that is always interesting.

6538990
Can't argue with that argument. Infect is, in my mind, left too cheap on too many cards, with little to no in-bloc counters.

As for Slivers... well, I can get that they do tend to play themselves after a point, but early setup can make or break a game. I can understand not liking playing them, but I have a special fondness for them, as my first deck I made myself was a Sliver deck, and it eventually grew large/powerful enough I split it into a pair of three-color decks, built for being played together, though they played just fine apart.

6539171 Same with my infect, can easily kill someone on quick succession and my friend countered my infect with his infect deck that had major removal. Although a new rule came out in Magic stating -1/-1 and +1/+1 counters will cancel each other out if on a creature. So my friends and I had a blast adding and negating counters on our creatures.

Then, Battle for Zendikar came out...

6539171 Also, I don't mind slivers, I'm a huge sucker for cards that synergies well. Just after a while, it's the same combo, overwhelm them with creatures that can't be blocked, or trample over their defenses.

Same with the minotaurs, Deathbellow Raider and Minotaur Skullcleaver as the main force, and Rageblood Shaman, Ragemonger, and Kragma Warcaller as beast support. Same combo, same stragegy. If I were to choose, Slivers would be interesting, especially with cards like Constricting Sliver to play around with your opponents in a "casual" game.

6539516
Yeah me and my friends have always played with the antimatter rule for those counters, but I was meaning the Poison counters on players. There's exactly one method to remove them, and that's with a legend that screws infect decks.

6539561
On, I came up with incentive wins, like milling to death, card recycle to out last opponents, and nuking every non-slivers and letting my foe quit out.

6539620 You mean Melira, Sylvok Outcast? Yeah, that's a big F you to infect decks XD. Although, I somehow beat the guy that played it against me by killing him the old fashion way: damage :rainbowlaugh:.
The poison counters on opponents is still on interesting way to win a game. It's basically a big F you to life gaining decks, but I see your point.

6539687
I wouldn't have a problem if there was more ways to remove those Poison Counters. But there isn't, and as such I don't like it. That said, I've made a bunch of cards with the MSE that deal with Infect and removing the resulting counters; I made a sci-fi medics deck in black-white-green. It was glorious.
