If she wants one that "makes sense", she should try one that's one continuous story rather than a lot of it being a series of vignettes. Especially with so many of the jokes involving references to other series.
I like it, but I think it helped that I was warned specifically about the first episode being half food talk (most of it being in the first half, then the reprise with Kagami instead of Miyuki).
