also, Dash hitting the shield was a spur of the moment thing, originally he was going to roll to the side and she was going to form a rut in the dirt

Yeah, I think I've read 2 total DS crossovers with Solaire and the better of the two played up his knightliness(is that a word?) more than his jovial personality.

Also, RD hitting something face-first because of her underestimating someone or something is always funny especially when she tries to shrug it of as "never happened".

4980730 I always felt that the better side of Solaire was his Jovial attitude. although I never got far in the first game, I am glad I watched so many lore videos, and Solaire is easily my most favorite knight styled character in any game

and with the RD thing, i'm more than likely going to make her say 'we never speak of this again' once she talks to the Monarch a bit more

it would be bad for her street rep if ponies knew she charged headfirst into a greatshield

The only thing I can say is that the last two paragraphs seem almost Out of Character. I expect someone like him to use extravagant words. Not "Hi". Or even use the Title "True Monarch" as a name. That was a perfect chance to give him an actual name.

"Greetings Celestia, Princess of the grossly incandescent Sun. I, am the True Monarch, Feller of Giants, Slayer of Drakes, Warrior of Sunlight and the ever encroaching Darkness"

and possibly even more, don't wanna put a full list here

but still, amongst his fellow warriors and non-combatants, he is incredibly casual
