Because the script called for it. Rainbow Dash had to say something in-character as to why modelling was so un-awesome, and she had to be put in 'Swarm of the Century' somehow, so it was the best scene to do it. ...Or, you know, she loves Rarity.

Funny, I was thinking about making a sequel on this story. I'm a little surprised that this is my most popular story, I felt like this was pretty mediocre compared to the other stories I wrote.
