Meh, I'm slowly beginning to care less. The amount of people who actually care about what they write is depressingly low but I've been working on being a critic as of late since there seems to be a demand for it in this fandom so I still pick out stuff when really I should just either vote down and move on or skip it entirely.

You can find editors/pre-readers if you really want. There are tons of people out there willing to do it you just have to be serious about it. I read semi-exclusively HiE fics so this isn't exactly my genre but there should be a number of places you can ask for editors/pre-readers. The real tough part is being able to take the advice they give you. Ponychan's /fic/ board is a good place to read up on advice but you need to make sure you ego can take a beating if you want to get things reviewed there. They are serious about things and if your story has any flaws at all they will point them out and berate you over it. There are less caustic sources, check out the various groups here and even post in your story that you'd be interested in pre-readers/editors.

Broke rule #1, if the teaser has mistakes then 99 times out of 100 shows a lack of care for their own story. Not worth diving into.
The teaser is the first thing people see. It is your one shot to get readers to pay attention and should receive just as much thought as the plot of your story and its characters.
