I agree with Akiba; this needs heavy editing. As for the story itself, I recommend reading this story for inspiration. Not to say the story as it currently is sucks, but it could use a lot of retooling and polish so people are better invested in it.

Well, that's my critique. Really, I can't offer anything better since I'm not a critic by heart, rather a writer. Regardless, I wish you luck with this.
