Author's note: Hello all! This is a "Red Dwarf" crossover that I've been meaning to do for a little while. If you haven't watched the original sitcom then you really should do - it's demonstrably one of the finer examples of comedy to come out of the UK. I apologize if anyone who has seen the original gets mad at me for doing this - this is more of an experiment than anything else.
Rated Teen for an eensy-weensy bit of death. Otherwise this is pretty kid-friendly. :P

Yeah, sorry 'bout it not being totally original. The dialogue was altered (and cut entirely, where appropriate), though - the narrative is all my own, as well. Just a silly little thing, this was - it wasn't at all my intention to plagiarise (since I acknowledged in the author's note that it was the first episode, ponified) - merely try to adapt.
If people get angry about it, I won't continue it. But I'm also willing to try a different approach to adapting any more episodes if the demand is high enough.

It's not really ponified though, you've just (barely) changed the names. You can watch the first episode of Red Dwarf on youtube if you don't have it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Br8DXPk5HuE - I haven't seen it for years and I can recognize just about everything I read, right down to the original portrayal of Cat as more animalistic being played out as a "ponydragon" making himself bigger and more fierce. Even the "fish" exam parts prior to the twist beginning.
If you do want to do a crossover, then take a look at how it's been done with Fallout: Equestria or Stargate: Equestria (the latter is smaller). Take the setting and work in your own story - Red Dwarf is going to be difficult, however, as it's a visual gag show being retold via text. Don't do this the way you have, you do yourself a disservice.
title reminds me of the Red Queen which then reminds me of the White Queen. Stupid Resident Evil movies...

I know Red Dwarf well enough to know exactly which bits you omitted. The way I see it, the only this'd work is if the storyline of Red Dwarf fell into somepony's hooves and was made into a play.
Even if this is a some-what ponified version of the show, not bad. I say follow midnightshadow's advice,but keep this going. Redo this first episode with full ponified, and change it up a bit, the continue.Other than that, not bad for a first draft. =3

Well, that's my childhood brought back. Personally, I think you've done a wonderful job, but I do agree with Midnight about the whole plagiarism thing.
What you could do, is keep this version of "The End" as a taster, to help you find your feet, and then expand on it to write your own episode - that'd be awesome, although difficult!
Also, I like what you did with Dash, to the point where I wonder if I'll be reading other fics with her using Craig Charles' accent...
Like the others say, this seems like you tried too hard to stick to the show's script, instead of letting the characters be themselves in a world you've set up. I, for one, see more potential for wacky hijinx with a Pinkie hologram and a Twilight computer, myself... hm... I may have to write that. For later, though. In fact, no more tips! They're mine! My... preciousssss... Okay, one more, something that doesn't make sense, they sent the princess in charge of literally making sure the Sun rises in the morning out on an indefinite scouting mission? I mean, yeah, she makes a logical choice for a captain, but only 'til you remember that Earth stops rotating without her.

Found this when chatting with my friends about whether there was a Red Dwarf crossover fic. We decided that Pinkie Pie would be Holly (with Bubble Berry as Hilly). Twilight Sparkle would be Rimmer and Rainbow Dash would be Lister. Rarity should be Cat, for their opinions on fashion (evolved from Opalescence). And Applejack would be Kryten:

Rarity... Actually, now that I think about it, that actually makes for a really funny visual; Rarity with a polygonal head.
It’s just The End (first episode of Red Dwarf) but with ponies. Not a good way of doing a crossover.
