Princess Luna has long struggled with ponies enjoying her sister's day more than her night. One night, while out watching the stars and pondering why this is so, a pegasus shows up and shares his thoughts on the matter, helping her to see things a bit differently. (Not a ship-fic.)

I see it as a matter of lifestyle. The more introspective or private a society becomes, the more the quiet of night becomes a refuge away from others and chaos. However, in a society where people interact primarily face-to-face, the day is when you can go out and encounter new people and find new groups to interact with.
It's a conversation I've had before. Day is more for looking out beyond one's self, while the night is for inward focus on ourselves and those closest to us.

I was crazy enough to choose to take summer courses, so I've not had much spare time, but I have been thinking about a series of shorts that focus on Luna following this encounter. We'll just have to see what comes.

Anytime 'OC' is in the character tags, there seems to be a smaller audience on stories. Not surprising, and I'm guilty of bypassing such stories myself. (As it is, I have over 300 stories in my 'Read Later' list right now.)
I'm just happy that so far it seems those who have read it have enjoyed it. Especially as it's just a bit of randomness that wouldn't give me peace till it got out of my head.
