Good story... went straight to my feels. My great grand mother passed away some time ago, and your story took me back to that time. I can now look back and smile at memories of her, instead of always feeling regrets of things I left undone.

I remember this from TMP. It may be the most heartwarming Sad fic I ever read. Particularly that last line.:applecry:

Short, sad, Sweet, beautiful... I loved every bit of it, also almost made me cry...

I think it's a darn shame this story hasn't gotten more attention. It's short, sweet, and it makes you think. Can't ask much more than that, I reckon. Good job. :ajsmug:

i agree, I wish this story had more attention. It was short, sweet, beautiful, and made me cry! It also brought up a very good point about death, quoted below. Set in spoilers just because it is a quote, so it is technically a spoiler!

"Dignified... 'Respect,' Applejack had said earlier, when they'd still been planning for the funeral, 'it's all about showing respect to the... the dead. It ain't about grieving. That's something we do on our own, in private, or with them that's closest to us. Grief's personal. Selfish even. At the end of the day it's about our own loss. This is about Granny.'"

I wish we could easily make this story more popular! Let's start pointing it out, and if possible, putting it in special folders in groups or something. I don't know, get creative with it.
