When a mysterious cult of ponies kidnaps Button Mash and takes him to a mysterious island to be sacrificed, the Mane Six, along with four stowaways, set out to save him and find out why he of all ponies was targeted. However, the reasons behind this may bigger, stranger, and more malicious than anything the ponies could ever imagine. The Dark Entity is asserting its dominance over their world once again.
(The title is clearly a reference to "Hades Persistence," the title of an episode to Beyblade Metal Fury.)

Haven't read it yet, but it looks promising. :pinkiehappy:

This is beautiful, cause I love Button, and it sucks that Hasbro did that. Plus all good TV shows like mlp have awesome, creative fanbases like the Bronies, and most of their work doesn't get taken down. It's just because mlp is so popular Hasbro wants all the money. they practically stole Button, and now instead of gaining money they might loose some, because some Bronies won't want to buy Hasbro stuff because there angry at them. Stupid Hasbro. :fluttercry::fluttercry::fluttercry::fluttercry::fluttercry::fluttercry::fluttercry::fluttercry:

Hasbro is shooting itself in the foot by doing this and I do love the 300 reference "THIS IS EQUESTRIA!!!" :pinkiehappy:

4151218 You are 100% right

And... this is going straight to Brony Stupidity.

4151218 they didn't steal Button. Button is a part of the show

We can take as many shots at Hasbro as we want, the unfortunate fact of the matter is that they have won. Jan the person behind Jan Animations and Button's Adventures has complied with the C&D and has stopped making any My Little Pony style animations.

Despite the petition it's very unlikely that the videos will be re-uploaded as Jan wants to work for Hasbro one day as stated by ShadyVox in his Vocaroo post, Jan however is forgetting that Hasbro doesn't hire Fanimators or Fan Game makers.

So in the end everybody loses.

4151426 He isn't a fanimator. He's doing it professionally

4151577 Yes he's a professional Animator, but he created a Fanimation based on their works and that's a strike against him. Jan as good as he/she is won't be hired because Hasbro sees Jan as a Fanimator.

4151599 He can still be an animator at Hasbro

4151843 It's not immature at all; stories depicting the flaws in individuals and societies have existed for a long, long time. :pinkiegasp:

Art Spiegelman's Maus is a prime example of this, and went on to become the first Graphic novel ever to win the Pulitzer Prize.

I for one think it was an excellent analogy for the situation.:raritywink:

Please leave a comment after you've read it.:unsuresweetie::twilightblush::pinkiehappy:

4152037 Thank you! I'm so honored to be compared to Maus!

4151426 Look at the bright side, Button's character has still been permanently established in MLP lore right alongside Derpy Hooves and Doctor Whooves.

4152111
Will do, hero of Redwall. :raritywink:

4152115 Don't mention it. Few people appreciate graphic novels (my personal favorite art form, combining visual art and storytelling) as an art form, so I make sure to support the other under appreciated arts (like fan fiction).

4152272 Not as important as Maus (sorry Matthias Unidostres). Let's face it, the Holocaust is far more important than anything we will have to deal with involving My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic...:fluttercry:

4154806
Indeed wacky. Indeed

4154806
Well, certainly, there's no doubt about that.

Heheh, I can appreciate the irony of whats being done. Protesting Hasbros attack on a fanwork with more fanwork, only this time painting Hasbro as utter villains. Thankfully it seems they are easing up and they are allowing Jan to continue some of his videos with their permission. This however should not even be needed given fair usage laws. Unless of course some congressman put some sort of action in an agricultural bill to remove that or some shit. Politicians are sneaky bastards afterall.

A thing like it happened to Microsoft's "Halo" series....

And Microsoft used that "Red Vs. Blue" to promote Halo and partnered with the (back then) small group called "RoosterTeeth"

Just as Red Vs. Blue got me in Halo, "Button's Adventures" was the final push that got me into MLP....

But with the "Derpy" incident, and now JanAnimations "Cease & Disist" I've refused to buy Hasbro products and I rarely watch the show anymore.

If they censor free advertisement, what's next? This site?

this is actually one of the best Button Mash stories I've ever read. Well played.
