Out of all the JanAnimations C&D satires I've read (all 3, 2 if you count the second was a carbon copy of the first) This is the best one due to it's comedic take on the issue

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but JanAnimations got a Cease and Desist over the Button Mash animations.
It may not be genuine and there's a lot of heat from the brony community over this considering the Button videos where pretty much completely inoffensive. There's already some internal investigations in Hasbro about this.

The videos have been re-uploaded to Youtube outside JanAnimations channel. Kinda the same deal with Double Rainboom, the videos themselves are sort of impossible to kill.

4122121 "Stop"? I never started. All I even know about Pinkiepony is that she's one of the most hated drama queens on the Internet and was a chief proponent of the whole APM mess. Since I never even read the Molestia tumblr (or heard of it until it was shut down) I know nothing about it. All I know is that EQD's article (or something linked from there) about the Button Mash thing screencapped a Twitter or something post from her.
Besides, there are literally a million assholes out there who like to mess with bronies just because they have nothing better to do, so it's likely we'll never find out who's behind this, if it wasn't legitimate.

It still doesn't make a whole lot of sense, though. My best guess is that either Hasbro hired a new third party legal firm that got a little overzealous, or this is part of a larger campaign to reign in fan content. The latter seems unlikely unless there's a new chairman or something that reacted especially harshly to a plethora of soccer moms complaining about some clop their kids found on the internet or something along those lines, but you never know.

This is a really good one shot story. I really like how it came out.
A few friends and I been picking apart the C and D order, we found something really interesting about it, the Button Mash episode they used as a reference in Pinkie's Pride with the goof off song at the start with Pinkie Pie wearing a hat and moustache (Scene of Button Mash adventures in his mums room months and months before the creation of season four), second they knew of Jan's work for years, DHX even offered him a possible job when they notice his fan made animation of Photo Finish song created by Mandopony, third the order spelt Scootaloo's name wrong, it on there spelt as 'Scootalo'.

From what I understand, youtube itself has recently been sending out C&D letters on the BEHALF of various companies. For example, if somebody uses video game footage, they will write a cease and desist letter on the behalf of the game company that made it. Presumably to cover their asses and get rid of potential violations before they actually even become noticed and become an issue or something.
It's been affecting a lot of people on youtube and NOBODY is happy about it, not even the companies that are supposedly having their copyright violated. A lot of companies write letters to the people affected saying that they never sent any C&D letters because they don't want to step all over people, don't want to be blamed for things they didn't do, and don't condone what youtube does.
My guess is that this was youtube acting on Hasbro's behalf.
