542155 Could be a likely thing, maybe it is more of a reference to the matriarchal (2 princesses....) like system that was in place before the war. Hence they had the leaders of most of the stables be Mares, and also why most main characters are female...

Interesting, and the plot thickens to the point of oatmeal. Dr. Anesthetic... I always find it hard to try and think up pony names.... granted they usually are a noun or adjective noun mixture.
