Ponyville. That is where she lived. This is where she has always lived, even as a small filly. Where she grew up, made a life of her own, and where she spends time with her friends. Actually, maybe that is better worded as "only spends time with her best friend." Yes, that is far more accurate seeing who it is pertaining to. This tale centers around our dear background mare, Lyra Heartstrings. Everyone knows how unique Lyra is. However, what do we truly know about how Lyra feels about being different.

It's not just that she sits differently than others, but more the fact that she feels like an outcast. Nopony really looks at her normally. She feels like she can't even be herself wherever she goes. That is more or less the conflict she is feeling.
Sitting differently is just the most recognizable act she does that makes her stand out. Lyra still tries to be herself even though she is judged for doing so.
