But will the crusaders stop only with their siblings? i believe having this power will make the take control not only of their family. Having that much power will only cause taking control of MORE!

I can't help but thinking Azreal was lying to them when he said the relics can't work on other relic users...Granted, It's for the sake of the story here, but to be fair, The Element of harmony ponies (Aka, Mane 6) are wielders of the ancient Relics known as the Elements of harmony, and they are pretty much being controlled, the only one not actively controlled by any of the CMC now, is basically pinkie and Twilight, as Rarity, Rainbow, Fluttershy, and AJ are under, but on top of that, go back to when Scoots accidentally ate Dash (Which is obviously gonna be fixed soon so that Dash is fine I know it...) when Sweetie remembered she left the candies at home (now was likely on purpose to break her sister completely possibly...hence Sweetie snapping and going into psycho laughter now) Babs didn't follow at first, until azreal told her 'go follow them' to which she responded 'OF course!' and left obediently! on top of that, after all three had left, with him still with Scoots, he told her, 'just do as I say and everything will be fine.' I think he lied to them about the relics they got not controlling other users, I think in reality, the truth is, the relics don't work on HIM, possibly because HE is actually Obedientiam...OR, he made them for her, or perhaps, He was the original one she made the watch for....other than that, he lied to them so that they thought that he couldn't control them, just like they can't control him, but in reality he can easily control them! he's already manipulating them, heck, even though it appears he didn't, when he used the pearl on Babs and Scootaloo, he probably already manipulated them subliminally to obey him, thus explaining why even though Babs didn't leave at first, she did when he told her to, and why he would tell scoots 'do as I say'!!!
I think I just figured out a plot twist...!
