Greetings and well met to all you Fimfictioneers out there! This is my very first piece of pony fiction, and I hope I do not disappoint!
Times are tough for Apple Bloom and Babs Seed in the coastal town of Hayseed Harbour, but fate has marked them to be swept to sea, in pursuit of dastardly pirates! Apple Bloom takes to the ocean and sky with Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo and Spike to rescue her cousin! Terror rides the gales, and the four friends must unravel the mystery of the Dread Pirate Pip. The lust for treasure draws both parties on to riches and drawn swords!
As a new beginner, I'd be happy to hear constructive criticism and friendly comments from passers-by.

Lot's of fun so far. Other than the fact that Twilight not caring about Spike anymore seemed harsh, this is shaping up to be good.

I love action adventure stories and pirates, but I gotta ask what shipping is here? Will there be sea monsters, epic battles, hot scenes, new lands and appearances by other characters, main and or background?
I take it in this story the crystal empire incident does not exist, therefore Spikes worst fear has come true. Well at least he can start a whole new life out in the world. Good luck to Spike I say. and leave the past and those in it behind.
Rarity started that fight instead of being concerned about the fall, shows how much she cares. Rainbow Dash cares more about her status than Spike apparently, so much for loyalty. To top it off, Twilight was just too harsh. Looks like she chose the crybaby and the hot head boaster over the one that was there for her in the beginning.

Hello there! I'm surprised to find a comment here after sooo loong! To clarify, there is intended shipping further down the line, but I haven't published those chapters yet, and for that I apologize.
Noting your view on how I've written the Mane Six, bear in mind that this is from Spike's very bitter point of view, and while I see a lot of clumsiness in its execution, I should attempt that chapter again in a much better light. Making the Mane Six look like jerks was never my intention
. This was very early days for me. Stick around sometime, I might have cleared things up a lot. 
4626650 Well just because Spike sees hid fear doesn't mean it can't come true. Twilight just reassured him it wouldn't happen but that doesn't make it impossible. If anything, it actually makes it worse because it would mean Twi lied to him. So yeah.
