The Docile Adventure of Twilight Sparkle

A Nice Morning

As the princess of the sun starts her day raising the sun she wonders how her student is doing on this fine morning. A small line of worry crosses her face for the letter she will have to send.

I'll let her have breakfast first.

The morning rays shine through the window landing on the face of a sleeping lavender alicorn. "Mm-no I'm not ready for today." she says grumpily while closing the curtains with her magic. After spending a long night studying the history and culture of the minotaur lands Twilight Sparkle, as you can guess, is not satisfied with her four hours of sleep.

Unfortunately for Twilight her stomach doesn't agree with her decision to stay in bed and lets out a rumble to wake the princess of friendship. Frustrated, Twhilight tosses up her covers and climbs out of bed with random strands of her mane and tail sticking out and some slight baggage under her eyes.

She tries to rub the sleepiness out of her eyes, but decides it's pointless. Stretching out her wings she makes her way to the bathroom to freshen up. To her discomfort she noticed she has morning mouth and no pony likes morning mouth so she brushed her teeth and took a quick shower. Grabbing a towel with her magic she leaves the bathroom levitating a brush alongside herself as she makes her way downstairs. She begins brushing her mane she and calls out for Spike her faithful assistant.

"Right here," the little dragon pokes his head through the kitchen doorway, "breakfast is almost done. Could you set the table?" Twilight just nods and starts clearing books off the table and making room for her and her assistant to eat. No sooner than she finished Spike walked in and started setting down a plate of pancakes and orange juice for Twilight and his own breakfast of sapphire waffles and chocolate milk.

They ate in silence letting the sounds of the birds outside (and nesting on) the library fill the morning. Twilight however couldn't hear the birds as she stared into empty space, lost in thoughts about how different some of the other nations are. Spike noticed the distanced look on Twilight's face and decided to break the silence.

"You know Twilight I think the birds sound---BURRRP" Instead of saying how lovely they were a nice fiery burp erupted from Spike announcing a letter from Princess Celestia.

This explosive interruption from their usual morning routine immediately shakes the new princess from her thoughts on the other nations. With a smile she grabbed the note with her magic and opened it. "It's from Princess Celestia," she stated as she usually does, "she says to gather the elements of harmony and come to Canterlot at once. There is someone I want you to meet?" A confused look crosses her face. "Its been awhile since we've been to Canterlot. I wonder who it is that requires all of us to be there."

A sour thought crosses her mind, "Celestia help me if Discord has relatives." Turning back to the note Twilight notices something written at the bottom."P.S. Bring supplies for notes, You will thank me later."

...

After gathering her supplies in her saddle bag Twilight heads out to gather the elements puzzling over the mysterious letter. Normally it would be faster if I told Pinkie Pie to gather everyone, but I can easily see her getting sidetracked about planning the welcome party and I do NOT have that kind of energy right now. Twilight frowns at the thought, but the quickly smiles. I'll start with Fluttershy and work my way back to town that way I can save Pinkie for last. With her thoughts well in motion the young alicorn glances around and notices she has already made her way to the edge of Ponyville. "It's nice and peaceful today." as soon as the words left Twilight's mouth she noticed a cloud of dust moving fast and sporadically and...Great it's coming right at me.

As the dust storm drew near Twilight could see a familiar trio on top of a speeding contraption. It looked like a very poorly constructed wagon with a trash can on the front and...a mast?

Scootaloo was at the wheel of the contraption with a worried look, Sweetie Belle was next to her freaking out, and Applebloom was on the mast clinging for dear life. Twilight sighed and did the only thing she could do, she flew up staying with the contraption, took hold of the three crusaders with her magic and lifted them off of the machine, placed them on the ground, and landed next to them.

"Do I even want to ask what you girls where doing?" Asked Twilight as the contraption crashed into a tree and EXPLODED.

Momentarily stunned my the princess' unflinching expression of exasperation and the explosion of their creation the three fillies quickly smiled and in unison proclaimed, "Cutie Mark Crusader's Automobile mechanics." A quizzical look flashed upon Twilight's face, "But where did you learn to build that thing?"

Applebloom began bouncing up and down, "T'was them flishflash brother's they came by tryn' to sell another one uh their contraptions and we ask'd them about the movin' wheels."

Sweetie Belle stepped forward, "They said it was an automobile, something they invented and it ran on magic, so we asked them how they made it and we put it together using Scootaloo's tools and some parts around Sweet Apple Acre's and I got to power it." The little pegasus looking ashamed then went on to tell how the machine worked up until they looked to see if they had got their cutie marks, which they didn't, and then all the sudden went out of control.

"Well, I hope you learned something from this experience." Twilight said with a bit of authority in her voice. "We sure did." said Applebloom. "Keep your eyes on the road and remember your seat belts," happily replied Sweetie Belle.

The happy expression quickly changed to confusion, "Did we even make seat belts?"

"I don't know Sweetie Belle, but I felt like I was this close to getting my cutie mark." said Scootaloo. After that the three fillies ran off on their next adventure seeking fame, glory, and more importantly their cutie marks.

...

Well everything seems normal today, I get a strange letter, the crusaders are getting into trouble, there are cotton candy clouds.Twilight mused to herself as she approached Fluttershy's cottage...

"Cotton candy clouds?!?"

Twilight groaned, "There is only one being in all of Equestia who could be responsible and here I was hoping he was the reason for the letter."

She entered the humble abode without knocking, frankly she didn't see a point considering the door was gone.

"What fresh Tartarus is this?"

Furniture and furry creatures floated around the cottage and in the center of it all sat...well hovered Discord and Fluttershy having tea. Fluttershy noticing Twilight takes a moment and lets her teacup float in the air, sending her tea floating out in a nice sphere. "Good Morning Twilight, Discord and I where just having a discussion on gravity and while it is unusual it's also very...Nice."

Twilight was not amused in the sudden change of physics and started to protest while stepping through the doorway, unfortunately as soon as her hoof hit the ground she found herself without something some ponies starve themselves to loose...Weight.

Fluttershy and Discord watched as Twilight spun through the air, bumping into the ceiling, and yelling at her sudden gravitational distress. Fluttershy was concerned, Discord had a camcorder.

"YEAAah, Somepony HELP ME!!" screamed Twilight completing a perfect barrel roll under the coffee table.

"Discord..." Fluttershy said softly. "Oh all right, but it was just getting good. I wanted to see how long she could keep from throwing up." With a snap of his fingers the God of Chaos restored gravity and teleported Twilight on the couch next to him.

"Don't worry even I had trouble with no gravity at first," remarked Discord, " I was sneezing kittens the whole time."

"It was my idea Twilight. I was curious about what it would be like to float around like Discord does."

Twilight smiled weakly, "As much as I would love to study the effect of zero gravity, I think I will wait awhile before trying that again." Remembering the reason for her visit Twilight began to informing Fluttershy on the letter she received.

"But we can't use the elements anymore what can we do?"

"I'm sure we can figure something out until then I want you to get Rainbow Dash and Rarity while I head out to Sweet Apple Acre's and find Applejack and Pinkie Pie. I think Pinkie Pie mentioned there was an apple family contest going on. Lets meet up at the train station."

"OH Can I Come too?" asked the God of Chaos, sporting a suitcase and a "Canterlot or Bust" sign.

"Well if something does happen it wouldn't hurt to have you there." NO SOMEONE ELSE FOR THE LOVE OF CELESTIA "Buuut, wouldn't you rather be in the minotaur lands? Discords ears perked at the question. I hear its time for the running of the Bulls, you know, Biggest race in all of Equis full of chaos and pandemonium. I mean ANYthing could happen Riiight?"

The Draconequuis scratched at his ghotee with his eagle claw.PLEASE GO FOR IT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!

"Oh all right, but next time I'm bringing the running of the bulls here."

Thank you "Holidays and Special Events in the Minotaur lands Pt 2" you were well worth the two hours...It looks like next year is going to be eventful.
