A Cave Story crossover.
The Doctor is a madman. A ruthless, cunning madman. He has plans to wage war with the world and become the new leader. He has successfully obtained the Demon Crown -- an item granting the wielder powerful, evil magic -- amassed an army, and even developed a way to enhance his power further.
Quote and Curly Brace have followed this monster to the ends of the island to stop him and his nefarious plans. But it seems that the Doctor has a few more tricks up his lab coat. His plan is far greater than anyone imagined.
Now separated in a strange new land, the two must find a way to befriend the ponies of this world and protect them from the Doctor's arrival.
Because he's come declaring war. And with the power of a god, no one will be able to stop him.

Okay. Now that I've read it, I have but one thing to say... MORE CHAPTERS! You did a great job with drawing me in and putting me on the edge of my seat. I didn't spot any spelling or grammatical errors, which is rare even for those who have quite a few proof readers. So I hope that this gains enough attention for you to feel as though it should be continued

Excellent work for a first fiction. The atmosphere is already thick enough to cut, and great work on the character personalities. Rainbow seemed a little out of character, but that was expected given the situation.
All in all, I can't wait for chapter 2!

IT'S ALIVE!! On a more serious note, it's good to see you add another chapter after such a long wait and, might I say, it was well worth the wait. This was a great chapter that revealed much and added a few new questions. Here's hoping that you continue with this story. It has loads of potential

4962508 Huh. That was... kind of accidental, to be honest. I just knew what physical actions needed to happen (flying to Canterlot and exploring the mountain) and let the characters build their own chemistry.
