Legends affect us.

As we grow up, and we’re told the legends of failed heroes, we’re raised to believe in the inevitable, not the possible. And why shouldn’t we? It’s not like this world is nice. Bleak days blend into bleak nights, and the bleak cycle repeats, all the while we fear the next day as much as the last.

But, well, how a legend affects us depends on how it’s told. Applejack used to mention the tale as a tragedy of courage, not of ineptitude, even mentioning how they were shining examples of all that we could be; Alicorns amongst Ponies. Those with the courage to stand. To choose right.

Which was why, in the Everfree forest, I chose to head in deeper.

Legends affect us. For better or for worse.

An idea exiting only

*existing

This is remarkably similar to my own fic. Involves Celestia, Luna and Discord, probably will never be finished, and is desperate to get past the thousand word min on the first prologue/forward thing.

Nice spot. I'll fix in a minute.

Anyway, yeah. The whole idea of Discord coming into power (or in this stories case staying in power) certainly isn't original, however, the use of Mythology can often be described as brilliantly done in stories, and yet every story ever has done it, so...I suppose it depends. Figures crossed to you for all endeavors story-wise. Now if you don't mind me I've a weekend to celebrate (I'm using it to finally finish Season 3!).
