When Ditzy Doo loses her job at Cloudsdale Mail and Freight, she gets a job at another shipping company... only to find out their definition of shipping has nothing to do with delivering packages! Desperate for income to support herself and Dinky, will Ditzy be able to make it as a pony matchmaker?
Hi all. This is your author speaking.
Many of you may already recognize this story. I've been working on it through DeviantArt, and it's been on Equestria Daily since October.
A significant number of fans requested I create another copy here... so here you go! All 12 existing chapters will be submitted at once, at the final chapter will be added later when it's finished.
I was excited to see "Shipping-and-Handling" on FIM, thinking it meant you completed the last chapter, #13.
BUT NO, you are just teasing us...you big MEANIE 
Just kidding, I'm glad you are posting this here, it is one of my favorite stories. I like your take on Ditzy, both her personality and job as a matchmaker. I always thought myself that Ditzy's trouble was just depth perception and dislike most stories that have her mentally challenged.

It really bugs me how much of an ASS Glow is. She didn't really plan this, did her?
I mean, make them fail her will save her record, but also DESTROY THE FUCKING COMPANY REPUTATION !!! And as a result, she would LOSE HER JOB and the record would be USELESS !!!!

Yes sir, it is not finished. It's been in production of Deviantart since October, and has been featured (and 6-starred) on Equestria Daily.
Many of my fans were bugging me to put another version here before it ended. So I figured I'd do that now, since it will be over as soon as a finish the next chapter.
Buck yeah, one of my favorite stories is on here now. I agree that the Pinkie chapter is pretty off the wall, but Trixie's isn't that bad. The only part that was a bit much was the end where Seth goes back to EqD. Other than that, it was a great chapter. This story is awesome btw, just letting you know :p

Before EQD? Only 4 or 5 people even saw this before EQD! This is my first ponyfic, so I was a completely unknown author at the time.

She went by both Ditzy Doo and Derpy Hooves for quite a while. Derpy really took over after the Last Roundup aired, but this was started about three months before that episode aired. I just stuck with this name, it's still widely known, even if Derpy is preferred.

Now you have me confused. Up above, you're commenting on the later chapters, and now, suddenly, you're back on chapter 1?
You know, I like this story. Ditzy's way of helping these ponies (or in Spike's case, dragons) out with their love interests... something about it just gives me a good feeling. I don't quite understand how to explain it- it's just that she seems to have this sort of natural intuition when it comes to helping ponies, and seeing her use that to help make others happy makes me (for lack of a better phrase) feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It reminds me that not all shipfics have to be heavy, fast paced romance.

That's the whole point. And probably the reason this got so popular on EQD. It's barely a real shipfic, because as soon as the part really considered "shipping" would start, Ditzy's job is done. It keeps things a little more light and funny, and doesn't scare off those who are afraid of "real", actually romantic shipping stories.

I'm probably in the minority, but I really prefer the name Ditzy Doo and it still feels weird to me to call her Derpy.

A mailmare with a unicorn filly. She's intelligent, but clumsy. She has friends, but is also subject to some ridicule because of her disability. Derpy on the other hand is the canon depiction, a silly pony who randomly shows up in the oddest of places. Ditzy to me is fanon, Derpy is canon.
- Let's see Cosmic Glow try to talk her way out of all of Screwball's lovely chaos now. Odds are, she'll be begging to be made into an economy-sized lawn gnome....especially now that she's facing charges of foal endangerment.
- Well, at least No-Inside-Voice and No-Patience Luna is in character.

Anyway i'm happy you are doing so well considering it's your fanfic ever, I assure you it is a LOT better than mine. Its very well written for a start, grammar is flawless as far as i see, it is a very interesting premise for a fanfic as well, this may well be up with the best fanfics on the site, no, the whole darn internet! Be proud PRB, this is a rare gem that is well worth my time! 
I would like to point out that my mind imploded, exploded, turned blue, yellow, and a bizarre colour called fnarge (which is somewhere between pink and sixteen), and finally turned itself upside-down during the course of reading this chapter.

Well, this is my first pony fic, but not my first fanfic. I've been writing fiction (fanfiction and regular fiction) for a long time.
I don't think anyponies' ages are known aside form the infant-est of the cakes, whom are infants under a year old. The fillies are assumed to be between 6 and 12, human maturity reckoning, and the main cast is assumed to each be around 20, give or take a few years.
I think not having ages makes them more identifiable for the target audience of children, since there's neither the assumption of adulthood nor that of being a teenager or child.
But officially, they don't appear to have ages.
On a related note, Celestia's age is often assumed by writers to be about 3000, however she supposedly reigned for "more than 3000 years" so she's likely older than that still; possibly much older.
Perhaps they're not even the same pony at all. Perhaps they are two mutually exclusive ponies that just happen to be strikingly similar physically. There seem to be plenty of bubble flanked side-ponies wandering around, and it can't be impossible for two pegasi to be grey and blonde....
The eye afflictions add a bit of unlikelihood, but in the end, it's still possible.
In fact, it would account for why the pony who said "muffins" has a completely different voice from the one who sits like a battering ram and breaks the floor in the process.
Though in my head, Ditzy always sounds like Julie Maddalena as Ilia Silvestri in Star Ocean.... I guess because Ditzy and Ilia are both slightly sarcastic blondes?
On the subject of the fic... it's excellent, and I'm disappointed I can't read the end yet =p
