If you gave her a name, it could become a rather interesting longer story, especially if Discord found he enjoyed making her smile so much he decided to adopt her...only to find out being a father is more than putting smiles on a kid's face, and his struggles with fatherhood help him bond with other ponies.

I did. I like the idea of kids seeing more clearly than grown ups.
Mental image of Discord trying to prove himself wanting to bond with everyone by watching the CMC for a few days.
I like it. However, a few grammar mistakes that could be easily fixed by a through proofread by yourself. Also, perhaps a sequel and a continuation of this story and who the filly is? I like your style, look forward to seeing more from ya.
