definently a unique way of combining WW2 earth with MLP, ive always been interested in ww2, especially the german and russian sides, so i cant wait to watch this develop

I will say, I am quite interested In WWII as well. (I am good with the history, even better with the weapons.

But I am good with the history of it none-the-less.
This is actually the only MLP fic based on WWII I have seen so far.

Especially since the only other WW2/FiM fic out there sucks SOOOOOOO Much. Not to complain, but the guy obviously had no idea what happened in WW2 or about any of the countries weapons/vehicles belonged to who, or what the strategies were of certain generals, made my blood boil so much I had to take a break from the computer from me punching a hole through the monitor cause of that dumbass (not to mention his horrible spelling and grammar) 
. But at least its nice to see someone who knows something about WW2 writing a WW2/FiM fic and am very happy to see you didn't give up on writing it, thank you very much for making my day again.

Hmm - odd, I would have thought that the Princess would be slightly more pissed that Twilight launched a v2 rocket. Then again, she does seem to be having doubts about having erased the entire conflict from the history books. I do have one point of irritation, though - the Sky Marshal is an Alicorn. I trust this will be justified later. I would also warn you about the risks of creating a Gary Stu, but seeing as how he's three hundred years dead, I reckon that will be somewhat difficult to do.

HELL YEAH! I thought this story was cancelled after chapter three, due to some kind of "backlash", or whatever...
But now it's back, it's updated, and it's awesome!
One thing that did bother even me, though, was the background to the conflict. More specifically: the fact that Celestia was so directly involved, effectively releasing "one monster upon another" to solve the problem. It feels way too far out of character for her (unless this is another "Tyrant Celestia" story...) Why not have two nations who wanted to become independent from Equestria, and then started fighting each other? That way, her "sin" related to the whole thing would have been "not being able to prevent it", as opposed to "being directly responsible for the bloodshed".
Wait... maybe this is some sort of metaphor for the appeasement policy after the First World War?
The writing itself feels a bit rushed as well, with quite a few grammar mistakes ("site" instead of "sight"? Seriously?
), and the overall pacing and structure feels like it could have used more work. Also, I might suggest placing an empty line between paragraphs to give the body of text a slightly more appealing look.

a self insertactually based on Erwin Rommel (personality, profession, skill, methods, etc.), or does he just share the name?Avatar: The Last Airbender reference? The cabbage guy? -10 points...
To avoid sounding too harsh, though, the "SMG cutie mark" section - as well as Schmeisser being paraded around for it - is pure genius. It perfectly sums up the horrifying effect that war has on all of ponykind, with young ponies' special talent becoming "wielding tools of destruction". The writing, as I've said, could use more work, but most of the basic concepts are pretty solid. Besides, I'm happy enough knowing that this story is finally back in action!
