Blue Hour Pony

T

Based on the 1976 Martin Scorsese film, Taxi Driver. Tabby Buckle is a lonely, depressed yellow rickshaw driver who spends each day ferrying ponies to and fro on the streets of Manehattan. However, of the millions who live in the teeming, cold metropolis, she is friends with not one of them. As news of Princess Luna's return seems to elevate everypony's spirits, Tabby slips further into darkness as she finds that she cannot readily relate to anypony around her. As her vindictiveness continues to boil she increasingly finds herself contemplating the worst. Where will this isolation take her? Can she be saved? Is there anypony out there who can teach her what friendship feels like?

beautiful story, that's about all i can say because i can't really put my thoughts into words right now.

I listen to the soundtrack from the movie!

So....much.....WIN!

Good sir, this one was AMAZING! I couldn't put my phone down until I finished this story!

You gave the main character her own personality, her own outlook on life, and we were able to see her own mind reason with itself.

I can't praise this enough. Words can't suffice for me. Maybe I don't make a good critic, but that aside....

....:yay: *yay*

Why doesn't this story have more views?! WTH?!? :fluttercry:

Not having seen the movie, I can't comment on it in relation to the source material, but this was an enjoyable read. (I did pass the link on to a friend who's watched Taxi Driver, too.) The negativity was a little relentless and prolonged at the beginning -- maybe over-established? -- but it definitely blossomed into its own once the main character started having a wider variety of experiences and the accompanying dilemmas.

The guns::doughnuts equivalency was flat-out hysterical, played with just the right tongue-in-cheek tone.

I'll echo: why doesn't this story have more views? :rainbowhuh:

It sorta fits not the best I would’ve done it didff4ently but all In all you did good

Taxi Driver is my favorite film of all time so finding this was really cool! I loved the journal entries even if at times, it mirrored the film's dialogue maybe a little too much. Overall, a really good story that dares to explore how this kind of character could possibly exist in Equestria. I know you wrote this almost ten years ago but I'd love to see more from you!
