Well, glad to see that things will still work out for the best. A wedding would be rather hard to pull off when its three lives that are being joined together, instead of two.
Her father’s worst problem was he was a little smothering, and her mother’s worst problem was not being able to relate very well to her daughter. Not that she blamed her mom for that, she wasn’t exactly the ideal daughter for a military mare, and that was a very big part of who her mother was
Hm...do I smell some 'verse-crossing in the morning?
She just wasn’t sure what she could do. Or if she should do anything at all.
Ah yes, the ever-popular "problem that could be solved in five minutes if people would just talk about what's bothering them but let's not do that because it would make too much sense" thing.
6076014 The problem here, of course, is threefold. First, that would make sense, and Pinkie Pie just doesn't do making sense. It also involves talking, and of course, that is right out as far as Fluttershy is concerned. And lastly, that would eliminate drama, without which Rarity could not survive.
Then again, Fluttershy has been working on that confidence thing.
I like the chapter titles as they are, but if this was one of those stories that used the "in which...." chapter title format, this chapter would be called "In which Rarity does not make herself clear".
6077275 Well, in fairness, she stated before she'd rather not put pressure on Fluttershy. And how exactly could she put more pressure on her than by stating: "I'd rather wait until we're all on the same page."? After that Pinkie starts asking Shy and everything goes blooy as Fluttershy runs for the hills because clearly she's ruining everything.
6077283 Oh I'm not saying I dislike how the story is going, I think that in Rarity's mind this is her only option. I personally love books that use the "In which..." naming convention, because they tell you so much about not only the arch of the characters, but also how the author sees the story. If you look at a book like Howl's Moving Castle the titles of the chapters give nothing away, but provide a lot of insight into how the author sees their story.
Okay enough of that. I guess the reason that I made the joke has more to do with my own frustration. My last serious (and also polyamourus) relationship was a little over two years ago, and looking back things would have gone much better If I had taken being truthful about my feelings over the possibility that another person would get their feelings hurt, then things would have ended much healthier (at least for me), and if the situation had been slightly different would have saved the relationship with one of the partners. Instead I pushed the healthy partner away and threw my effort into trying to fix myself rather then confronting the problem with the truth.
6077330 It's okay, was a long time ago now. I let the one who got away be the one who got away, and the other woman (my primary) was emotionally abusive so it was never going to end well not matter what I did.
By the way, I love you idea for a poly herd instead of a pod or group... it has such a better ring to it.
6077338 Thanks, although I can't take full credit for the concept. Xenophilia was the first place I saw the concept. I just took it to my own logical conclusion thereafter. You know, world of talking ponies, the safest relationship type for ponies that wish to travel and make a new town is the herd. As the town becomes stable, single pairings become more common, but it's not a concept that ever gets a stigma attached, it simply becomes relatively unknown.
Loved the new chapter. I am glad that Rarity did her best not to reveal that Fluttershy is why she doesn't want to get married now. Still, it is pretty obvious for the reader that she clearly failed at that.
It’s not fair to her, don’t you see?” Fluttershy’s face fell. Everything she’d worried about was happening. Even if her mere presence was ruining Rarity’s wedding plans—
Its impressive that Fluttershy is the one to try to hold them up during this, though I have complete confidence in the fact that the minute she gets to her own home she's going to break down crying for her unintended part in ruining Rarity and Pinkie's wedding. This will probably bring back some of her doubts again, but hopefully she can hold that back until the other two are in a better place.
I suppose this kinda works with her element, she is holding off on her own pain and sorrow to help the other two through this. I am looking forward to the continued drama that these events will cause.
I hope that Rares can come to accept that forming a Herd is an okay thing. After all she loves Pinks and Flutters, ammending her wedding to be between two loves of her life doesn't make her any less of a lady. She does need to see how one goes about that sort of thing. Still nice chapter, and as always it's been a pleasure to read.
Soooo I loved the prequel and am loving this even more. So much so that I caught up on it all in half a day... and I'm pretty sure my boss will be pissed because I spent a good chunk of my shift reading it. That's how good this is and it's keeping me on the edge of my seat! Can't wait for the next chapter!
.... minor details. As far as he knows I'm reading our company policy manual.
Though I swear, Pinkie just seems so much like.... well, Pinkie in this. For being such an energetic character I think she's incredibly difficult to write, because shes so unique and over the top that it's easy to actually UNDERstate her character's craziness. Fortunately, this here does it, and I MAY or may not have been using some of her one-liners and random outbursts just as comedy to liven up the day today....
That was great I do hope Rarity can figure it all out That way she can do a herding cermony instead of a wedding I WANT MOAR SOON! If that is alright with you
6210197 To be fair, many of the greatest thinkers were know for being a bit eccentric. It kind of makes sense that someone that views the world slightly differently from most, would have to spend more time analyzing how the world around them works.
i like it and is Rarity and Pinkie Pie still going to have their wedding or not
Well, glad to see that things will still work out for the best. A wedding would be rather hard to pull off when its three lives that are being joined together, instead of two.

Be strong, Flutters.
I certainly hope that the next chapter comes out soon. It nearly killed me waiting for this one.
It was worth the wait though.
Guess what, this fic hit the feature box!
Cute chapter.

Now to see whom brings it up again and which one breaks/freaks.

6077319 Ah, hindsight is a bitch. Sorry things didn't work out.

i feel is none of this was right... REALLY not good.
Somebody propose already!

6210197 I compleatly agree.

I have Asperger too. I just not good at telling from people if they are or the spectrum too or just vsomething else.

I hope you did not stop writing this story???
it is Awesome!!!!!!!!!!
can now wait for more.
6415275 Nope, I am about 3k words deep into the next chapter. I just need to find time to write more while I keep up with Green at the same time.
Oh, no. Rarity...
7404940 She's a fabricidal maniac!
