Blueblood is known as the Pompous Prince of Canterlot, always stuck up and acting all high and mighty. However not all is as it seems on the surface. Out of all of Celestia's nieces and nephews, Blueblood seemed to always be in her favor.
Luna, now returned from her banishment, is about to learn the secret of Prince Blueblood.

Could be a bit more expanded, with slightly better pacing and writing, but the concept alone makes up for it. :pinkiehappy:

“Dangly Ball!” Blueblood shouted out wheezing, “On bad days I hit myself, again no control of it,” Blueblood then turned to face Celestia, “Can I ‘Fuck!’ get back to acting now please? I think she has seen enough.”

:rainbowlaugh:

Also: dat jarring shift of tone at the end... :fluttercry:

(By the way, PROTIP: I suggest you do not name his condition "tourette," which isn't even the proper name. First of all, you might offend quite a few people, and secondly it doesn't even match the real-life condition. "Tourette syndrome" isn't just about someone randomly shouting profanities or "hitting themselves"... :trixieshiftleft:)

As someone with Tourette Syndrome myself, I can attest to this. What it is to me is an assortment of tics that I compare to the habit of blinking - I don't give much thought to whenever I walk by an object and flick my fingernails against its edge, for instance. It just happens. That said, it varies from person to person, as others have different habits, and often compare them to having to sneeze.
The point is, it's a neuropsychiatric disorder often inherited from one's parents that causes various kinds of physical and vocal tics. Involuntary swearing is not a common symptom, and it really shouldn't be made into a joke. Yeah, we all had a laugh when we watched Obnoxious Bastard Tourettes Guy that man, but the thing is, that's definitely not a reliable interpretation of Tourette's, and it doesn't help to spread awareness on the issue. I'd rather not see people chuckling and expecting me to burst out into random bouts of profanity whenever I bring up the fact that I have the condition.

Super taldo?

The Tourette's guy didn't even have Tourette's if I recall correctly. I'm pretty sure he had coprolalia, which manifests in the form of inordinate responses.

Interesting concept. Worth the read.

A different and interesting way of expanding on Blueblood's character. I approve.

Nice.:yay: The theory seems sensible.

Sees blueblood story.
Blueblood, today you shall be insulted beyond measure!

That... Was way better than what i expected! :pinkiehappy:

... It's... was great.

Simple great.

Headcanon with the power of a supernova!

So, dude basically has Tourette's syndrome, except when acting like a unbearably decadent fop?

That's... kinda random. :rainbowhuh:

I think I prefer the theory that he suffers from separation anxiety and acts the way he does to drive others away before they can hurt him. Gives him more depth, you know?

this is danm good sir.

but i would like to see more who knows maybe someone elsa have it like him

Good Concept, this should be greatly expanded upon.

I have to agree with others here, great concept that could be built upon. Take an upvote for making Blueblood a decent individual.

I can't help but be reminded of that South Park episode now XD

south park ep XD
but still damn now i feel sorry for him! XD
great job hope he gets better! :D

Feedback...to be blunt, this fic was great til BB arrived. Luna was sweet, Celly was very endearing and it felt terrific. Then BB shows up and decide it'd be funny to apply some random problem to him and claim it's a mental illness. I would've been happier if you had just said he was literally cursed. Claiming tourette's and not even trying to make it accurate just feels lazy and obnoxious. Tourette's can be very funny and sympathetic, but this feels like a your mom joke.

Sorry but it's true. I think the main reason it bugged me so much was it felt like it had some really good potential. It's like being promised a great meal and then having a dog turd hurled in your face.

3403116 they didn't say what the mental illness was. Also if they had made it a magical solution then finding a cure would be much easier

This was hilarious. I love Blueblood as a character, no matter whether he's a snot or a truly good guy who just acts like a jerk to shoo away the gold diggers (which is honestly how Rarity was acting).

sounds like tourette's mixed with bipolar disorder by the way m.memegen.com/vunyla.jpg

Didn't expect this.

huh. not expecting that.

I hope that Luna can help BB.
