Twilight discovers the bones an ancient carnivorous creature in an unknown cave, but there's something else than just bones lying around.

Interesting. I'd like to see where this goes.

Looking good, so far!

:facehoof:That's not a dinosaur, that's a mammal! It's one of the megafauna that dominated from just after the K/T Event through the Tertiary Period until the end of the last Ice Age. I don’t remember what that one’s called (somethingtherium, probably:twilightsheepish:), but this is a fine example of a some-million-year-old extinct animal that is not a dinosaur. Not every fossil is of a dinosaur. Still a cool creature, though. I’m more of a Paleozoic (for the novelty of early evolutionary lines) and Mesozoic (for the real dinosaurs) fan myself, so I’m not an expert on megafauna. If you couldn’t tell, I’ve had a bit of an affinity for prehistoric animals since childhood…:twilightsheepish:

And since I did this, I might as well comment. Overall, I liked it. This is a pretty well written story and is pretty interesting and creative. Two notes; you need to be careful to keep verb tense consistent. Most of this is in past tense, but you slipped into present tense a few times. The other is more for Twilight; WATCH JURASSIC PARK BEFORE YOU TRY TO PLAY GOD, TWI! THIS WILL NOT END WELL!! TRUST ME!!:raritycry:

3331696 I'll fix the verb tenses. it's suppose too. Like how shows have flashbacks, this is basically it. Thanks for pointing a few errors. :twilightsmile:

I like. Nice job C;

Oh god, its going to be the Jurassic Park fiasco all over again:facehoof:, why do scientists insist on bringing back what should remain dead:ajbemused:

3918946 you'd be surprised. Anyway, this will have a different feel. It's evolved (no pun intended)

Quick question, is Fluttershy going to give birth or lay an egg:derpyderp1:?

3924476 Now that, you'll have read and find out. Making chapters 3 and 4 was awkward enough :ajbemused:

Indricotherium. An ancient hornless relative of the modern rhinoceros, actually. Not a pony. But there has actually been surprisingly large variation among prehistoric horse species throughout (pre)history (found out somewhere that there was even a North American Zebra). Here's a bit of info I found on just some of them.

Twilight technically raped Fluttershy

7877845 n'ah, she didn't really. Fluttershy volunteered. lol

If you think of this from a genetic standpoint Twilight used Fluttershy's blood for the DNA sequence and used one of her eggs so truthfully the ponysaurus is Fluttershy's foal. Ponysaurus DNA X Fluttershy DNA = Fluttershy is a MOM. :yay: :twilightsmile:
