well, the slice of life tag was what I believed fit the first chapter, as nothing exceptionally exciting happens there.
still kind of new to writing a story, so do you think perhaps I should put the couple of the tags that don't exactly show up in the story yet?

whatever advice (or criticism) you have is most appreciated.

Generally you want to tag the story for the overall tone not on a per chapter basis. Most adventures start out slow and introduce the characters. If you tag it adventure and it doesn't immediately jump into an adventure, then people will understand.
