Actually, each of them has a specialty. Lance is pretty much a simplified Link, with a sword and a shield, Archie is, as his name implies, an archer, Boomer is a bomber, again, as his name implies, and Scootaloo is going to serve the same role as Joker, the wild card of the group, with no real specialty. Not to spoil anything, but she's going to get a really special item later. You may have seen a similar item without knowing it.
