Pinkie Pie has been feeling lonely lately and she was granted a day off by the Cakes. She had nothing planned for the day and decides to spend time with one of her friends.
She had planned on it being Rainbow Dash but since her friend and Fluttershy have been married they practically have been joined at the hip.
Since Rarity and Applejack have been 'not dating' it's also hard to spend time with either of them.
So Pinkie Pie decides to hang out with Twilight only to find she wants to spend a day alone with a good book. Pinkie Pie chooses to not let a book stop her from hanging with a friend.

Nope... I will be honest nope, and partially yep. I can't explain how I write but when I do I don't stop or think I just do and when the story is done we all get surprised.
Truth is this isn't canon to any other fic but, the pairs were needed for the representation of opposites for that one part. Also I made a cameo of FlutterDash because I love FlutterDash.
He does have friends. Six friends who love having him around and would rather take an ass-whupping than hurt him. What Spike does not have is an "owner".

Also Spike in canon was claimed to be a pet baby dragon by Twilight in like the first episode.
Also you forget in this fic that most of the other ponies were either out of town or busy. Spike does end up visiting some of his friends. But the point is that you got upset over something that is was being said before you even read on. That is like starting a fic that says . Rainbow Dash was crying, and I don't finish reading to find out why. Or what the term was used for. Either way sorry you dislike my fic because of Spike abuse but the fic isn't about Spike.
I like how people assume I dislike spike or hate him because of my fics. The truth is the opposite if you seen me ranting on random group things I don't dislike Spike. I dislike how Spike is treated canon.
The fact is Spike is supposed to be a pet dragon, they mentioned that first episode than they tried to make him like one of the usual pals. That doesn't work because he isn't a pony and he isn't useful during most events.
Sure he can cook popcorn and send letters but that isn't anything compared to the mane 6. I know some people hate Spike abuse but if you watched the show and I mean watch it. You will see canon that Spike suffers from more abuse than I dish out in any of my fics.
Forced to build a giant rock tower, count the number of grass on the floor, do tasks for an ungrateful unicorn that he is in love with. I can go on... if anyone has a problem with Spike don't complain to me about it. Go call hasbro or the MLP writers. I try following canon as much as I can and head cannon when canon isn't able to answer questions.

Yeah it's a long fic. I just don't understand why one part of it offends people. Spike being abused is a canon concept. I just love how something involving a character that isn't integral to the plot can make people's jimmies get rustled.
I should make a Spike central fic about him being some hero or doing something amazing and then have Twilight donkey punched by a gorilla and see how much flak I get for that.
What would Spike do anyway? He doesn't do much other than provide distractions and clean stuff.
Also while we're on the topic, will Spike 'grow up'? It was a thing in an episode amounting his greed, so does that mean that little 'spikey wikey' will never grow up?

The dragon lore in MLP is as broken as Superman is period. I love Superman to death but it seems he gets infinitely stronger one comic or show, and infinitely weaker the next.
First there are dragon teenagers in the show depicting natural age progression. Still greed can some how supersede that and make baby dragons become monstrous adults.
The dragons in MLP are a joke. Any real dragon from any other lore would skull 'buck' them to oblivion. First they seem to eat gems which in reality would be tearing their esophagus and causing them to inwardly bleed. Hoarding fine I get that. But greed induced growth? The hell they thinking?

Buck logic. Pinkie Pie destroys logic. Rainbow Dash destroys anything with a Sonic Rainboom. I am shocked they haven't used her ability to eliminate a giant force of enemies. Rainbow Dash can be considered a grade A military weapon in the right hooves.
Celestia would be smart to snag Rainbow Dash up as a soldier.
Wouldn't the Sonic Rainboom be more of a glorified artillery strike/nuclear missile detonating in the atmosphere?

Nah, she modified it in the third epsidoe of season 2 (Lesson Zero) to make the Sonic Rainbomb. She destroyed the entire barn that AJ needed tearing down.
Plus if the force of a sonic boom was used at low altitude it would level an entire city. I am so into force and explosions that I literally think RD is too dangerous canon to make a decent hero. She would be much better as a villain if she turned. She would literally be the deadliest thing in the sky.
Actually, speaking of RD turning into a villain, if you look, all of the Mane 6 show an instance of going bat**** crazy at least once, but I don't recall RD's moment?

I am guessing the episode would end in shit tons of ponies dying so that wouldn't make for a good epsiode.
Also she doesn't go insane during MMDW when she should have after the humiliation she had to suffer because her 'friends' were trying to teach her a lesson. anyways enough about offtopic stuff back to the fic in question. I am hoping the one moment in which Spike gets "abused" doesn't cause the story to tank over Spike fanboy's using too many tissues over the fact Spike got hit.

3072018 Yeah but RD is a pony who in canon (season 3) was able to break through trees effortlessly and smash through a solid rock tower( with recoil damage). I don't think scales on a young dragon will mitigate a punch from an angry super pony.
Also the shiner was for comedic effect.

Actually, it's more impressive that RD wasn't injured that much, then again it is a cartoon, and MLP carries the cartoon tradition of indestructible characters.

Want to know what I like about this whole thing? I have a comedy tag, and people forget I used that entire scene for the lulz. Apparently laughs can't be had if the character being the brunt of the joke is some unimportant side character with enough moments of him being useful to last 1/3rd of an episode after three seasons of him being pointless.

I can't defend a story since it's subjective, not everyone will like it. I expected hate, all my stories get some hate. It's because I don't pander to all audiences. Also they can leave a hateful comment and dislike, and if they want to go that extra mile, they can report my story for making their jimmies rustled.

Well what people think is their business, though I don't see how you can find Spike getting a hoof to the face as really offensive and deserving of a dislike. It's not like he got dismembered (I'm sure something like that is out there) and cartoon violence like that isn't very serious.
My little brother enjoys watching Chip and Dale and if you think about it, Donald and the Dales do some messed up things to each other- destroying homes, launching each other with canons, etc.

Well, I do think MLP needs to expand its pitiful selection of male characters-
Spike- funny, always a nice companion for a good joke to put into the dialogue, but underdeveloped.
Shining Armor- obvious equivalent to 'her knight in shining armor' really lacks depth and weakness.
I can't think of any more that are used repeatedly in the show so ya...

Shining Armor is the only canon male character that is worth anything.
They made the rest of the males, useless, weak, stupid, or just plain arrogant.
Prince Blue Blood for example. Had potential, turned him into some stereotype and furthered the lesbian shipping communities. Rarity now has a canon reason for being able to love mares. Since you know Stallions treat her like an object.
I think it's funny how the male population in MLP are equivalent to slaves. No offense to anyone of any race or religion were enslaved in the past. I just think men in Equestria are turned into slaves. For example Applejack never paid those stallions in Appleoosa who pulled that cart.
Those stallions who pulled the wagon to the gala got nothing in return.
Big Mac has that neck thing that is used to attach himself to things that get pulled... Buck farm stuff.
Snips and Snails (and puppy dog tails) the ingrediants for making boys (according to the powerpuff girls and other lore) are the most idiotic and asinine colts.
Soarin who was supposed to be epic, made into a joke at the gala. "As a horse!"... never will let that go.
ETC ETC. As a man myself I find it hard to enjoy MLP at times because of the total inequality going on. Since young girls won't notice it because they just see colorful ponies, the bronies can see the matriarchal society and it's anti stallion policies.

That probably is MLP's weakest point, as evidenced in the earlier episodes with a generic crowd in a scene, the front few rows at least (ones with detail) are all mostly female.

The only issue I have with all this hate is that they aren't hating the story for the right reasons.
I mean I crafted this story and spent hours with two awesome people editing it. The grammar and words are fine. The content and the story is grand. The only reason it's being down voted is because I used a comic relief character as comic relief. That just stuns me at how stupid people are.
I use a character for his intended purpose and they get butthurt.
