That. Was. AWESOME!! Seriously, that was a perfectly written confrontation between Sombra and Pinkie Pie, who as representatives of despair and laughter/happiness are perfect foils for one another. Your pacing and description are excellent--very action-driven and descriptive, but also giving the right amount of insight to the characters' thoughts and feelings. And speaking of characters, I love your take on Pinkie Pie. She feels right, a little zany and ditzy, and highly energetic, but also fiercely intelligent, dedicated, and able to bring the pain when the chips are truly down. The way you wrote her actually reminded me a bit of Son Goku from Dragonball (memetic hyperbole notwithstanding)--similarly cheerful and seemingly naive most of the time, but never-giving-up, never giving in to despair, and able to rise from remarkable depths when facing someone who can't be won over by her good nature alone. This isn't the fanon Pinkamena or even Hot-Blooded-Pinkie-Pie, just a fully realized canon character with new depths revealed by the nature of the situation.
While it's a shame that this is a one-shot, nevertheless excellent job! I hope we may see more Fight Scenes are Magic in snippets in the future--hopefully enough so each one of the Mane Six get to shine. Keep up the great work!

It actually isn't, though I do admit to thinking that Fighting is Magic would have been awesome if they had been allowed to finish it.
No, this is my attempt to learn how to do fight choreography. It's going to be important to my flagship story, Dusk, towards the end of it, and gosh darn it I want to do it properly.
