Three ponies, an Earth pony, unicorn and pegasus had unloving homes. It was all they had in common. They adopted each other as sisters, believing family was about who loved you no matter what, not who you were related to.
This wasn't enough for them.
They decided to try and combine their talents to create a a spell that could make them real sisters. They didn't know how or care how. Their biggest inspiration was from a story of a unicorn who made his own friend, his own enemy and eventually the love of his life.
They created a spell, but it didn't work as planned.

Wow! For once, I'm not sure what to say as that story was just awesome in every way! Okay, well, maybe a few things:
- The three sisters should have just held each other as family in their hearts. To seek more could - and did - untie the threads that bind lives together.
- It is too bad the earth pony couldn't reconcile the relationship in time.
- As time does heal all wounds, maybe she will decide to pick up the notebook again in due time. But that probably wouldn't be a good idea.
- The story was well-written in making the reader feel the emotional impact and its significance of the loss.

Also, it really bothers me that I don't know the Earth pony's name...
