You know, for being a first story, your O.C is rather interesting to say the least. I mean yeah the story could use a bit more detailing and probably a smoother pace (there were some lines that are worded kind of weirdly), but overall not a bad story. I'm glad you at least go someone to help you edit, and at least you didn't fuck up characters or anything. Pretty much, not a bad story, but hey there is room for improvement.

There is a difference between "Aura" and "Aurora"
She doesn't see things like Aura's around a pony or anything of the like. She sees what magic runs inside them, which normally resides between then heart and mind, intensifying towards the horn of a unicorn, between the heart and wingbases of pegasus ponies, and between the heart and hooves of an earth pony. All magic comes from the heart of life. She sees that magic and where it moves, so she could see levitated objects, and things otherwise lit by magic. Plant life contains traces of magic, just enough to be seen and to carry through life. Everything living is connected to magic in some way.
"Aurora" is a display of bright colors and ribbons of light, like her cutie mark shows is her special talent. I greatly enjoy things involving color, and I decided to tell a tale of the minor tragedy of a blind mare whose special talent is light and color, then play it into a much larger story.
This story has a great concept and you are writing it well.

I really love this story and i love how your bringing in each of their personalities into the story. As soon as i read the part about their being a pink bouncing energy, i immediately knew that it was Pinkie and i read that whole part just as if she was saying it. Same speed, same enthusiasm, and same hyperness. Over all i loved this chapter and i really cant wait for the next one. Please come out with the next one soon
