Ditzy Doo, a sad mare, cursed to walk the earth for eternity, thought she had seen everything there was to see in her horrible life. She decided to hide forever in the depths of the Everfree forest, fearing the hate that was directed at her for how she looked. However, just as she was about to lose hope, some strange in phenomenas in Ponyville brought her attention back to the town she once called home.

Do we all know the mail mare. Do we know the cards dealt to Ditzy Hooves, fellow child of a line lost to time. Her story is wistful and bittersweet. Meadows wash with bathing light, but, in darkest night, she remembers how she became her own tragedy. She yearns long-gone lullabies and simpler, childish times blowing bubbles in the breeze. A wash of sour eyes to show the soul where happiness lies.

Starburst, daughter of Princess Twilight Sparkle, soon meets Creme de la Creme, a mare who has come to Ponyville to visit Starburst's friend Golden Delicious. Starburst soon grows to dislike Creme. But she doesn't know why.

The cockatrice. One of the higher in the food chain of the Everfree Forest, despite it's diminutive size. It is also one of the few blessed with any form of sapience, though this is unknown to ponykind, due in part to their contentment to live in ignorance, though largely due to the fact most ponies are deathly scared of the habitat in which the cockatrice resides, let alone the creature itself.
