Writing the first draft of the epilogue. Hella nervous. Finishing novels is so scary; so many more potential lose ends.

I mean. But. I always intended this as 'standalone with series potential'. So I guess if anyone's unsatisfied I can promise to address it later. Or. Like. Change the story. That's easy in fanfic.

All the little story bits are running right, but the tone all wrong. Net week maybe? I'm glad I changed the ending, but I think maybe I should lock myself and write the whole new ending/epilogue before I start posting anything else. If I was smart... well, I'm not smart.

I abandoned Twitter to help keep me from getting too stressed about the election, and found that it has left me with a frankly colossal amount of writing time. Was... was I really doomscrolling for hours every day? Really?

So, anyway, I'm using the extra time so that I don't have to choose between fanfic and original fic (), but I'm making great progress on the penultimate chapter. Should be up later this week.

This is the last pre-written chapter. Only a little bit more to go. But I changed the ending. Might not get another chapter up this week,

I'm stuck somewhere with my laptop, so I thought I'd get this one up. Even though one scene in this was TOTAL BULLSHIT in the first draft, I was still able to fix it up pretty quickly. The next chapter? Maybe not; I'm about to go look. We'll see if I can get it ready for Thursday.
