So its been ages since I last attempted to make art for my bugfic, and its gone all this while without a proper cover art for the story.

I think its high time I fix that.
I mean, I'm not particularly skilled at making digital art that isn't abstract or surreal or [other terms I can use to describe being a blurry mess and making up for lack in skill]

I'll keep you all posted with my progress in doing so, but it still isn't really that much of a priority to me.

So after falling into a slump again, I've rebounded and hammered out some quality writing for both my bugfic and my mutiecorn fallout fic
I'm working my way back into habit of writing a little bit every night (that turns into a lotta bit) so that I can actually start getting chapters out in a reasonable timeframe and not keep going on these months long hiatuses.

that being said, I've got work to keep a roof over my head, so I've got that going for me, which is nice.

I'm going to figure out what I want to do with the end of this chapter, maybe have it lead into the next chapter a bit better, and then it should all be done.

Really been struggling to commit to writing, idk, probably just money stress from being broke.
Ah well, the good news is I've made enough progress to be finishing this chapter soon, so yeah.

Dunno what I'm going to do about the money problem though.

I'm starting to think I might as well start doing milestone updates, for each two thousand words I hammer out into the next chapter.

AHEM, anyway. Story updates.
Chapter 9 of Kafer's story is on a roll with almost 3k words down and its events list is already established, all I need to do is grind out the details of the events and polish it up.

FoE: Apsides chapter 2 also has its events planned out and is a little over 2k words in.

Managed to knockout rewriting both the prologue and the first chapter

well, less a rewrite and more me diving into the guts of the chapters and doing a series of much needed fixes and ironing out of the worst offenders in pacing and dragging on and "nothing is happening" situations.

trimmed the worst of the fat, removed some largely redundant dialogue and idle contemplations that just came across as me spinning my tires.

Finally made the time to fix up the prologue to be less crappy, utilizing my improved experience in writing and made the flow a lot better.

added in some details, put in some foreshadowing, etc.
gave better insight into his thought process, the prologue is still not great, but it is leagues better than what it used to be, I think.

I've written up some of the train of events for chapter 9

gotten a good chunk written out for a few future events while I was at it.

we're on the fast track to having some semblance of a stable upload schedule again, the first step has been taken.

Every day now, at least 500 words (its probably gonna be more)

Just a casual update, letting you all know I'm still here and still trying to get things done with my fics, trudging through the fun times of being unable to focus on anything, having the spaztic attention span of a gnat, and other trials and tribulations associated with a brain that loves coming up with ideas, concepts and premises but can't be bothered to focus long enough to write any of it down.

Yes, you heard me right.
I'm going to push myself to try and have my FoE fic ready to go by the end of this week. No more fooling around and procrastinating, I wanna write this story and I'm gonna see it written for better or for worse.

As for my changeliung fic, I'm gonna push to have chapter 8 finished before the end of this month and chapter 9 at least a thousand words in by the start of next month.

I'm feeling motivated, lets get it done.

Howdy everyone, I'm back on my feet (so to speak) and moving right along.

In chapter 8, I've pulled a sequence I didn't particularly like and wrote in something better, then I brought the word count to 5k
I'm also back to utilizing "stuck" moments to flesh out future encounters and chapters.

Oh, I got around to fleshing out more changeling lore and put it to paper.

Good times, coming at this story with a new mindset, a healthier mental state, and a better attitude.
