Good heavens, am I actually going to hit one of the arbitrary deadlines I make for myself? · 9:20am Aug 19th, 2021
long title, silly crap.
buuuut, big but, I'm actually confident (for once) that I'm gonna have something finished in the time I want it to be.
ok, to be completely fair to myself, I wasn't anticipating the big rewrite of the sequences in my FoE fic's first chapter...
and I wasn't anticipating to be moving to a new state either, but, whatever, old news.
the new news, noooooz? the news, is that I'm actually going to be publishing the first chapter in my mutiecorn FoE fic sooner rather than later.
also, Kafer's 8th chapter is coming along nicely now that I've hammered the hell out of the lore I worked out for magic and such, and changeling biology. Even when I got stuck, I was always working on *something* for these fics.
But now, finally, I'm going to have something to show for all the time I've invested in these fics, soon enough.
Heck, I might just even have the mutiecorn fic ready to go by the end of this week, and kafer's next chapter before the end of this month.
I know, I've said this before, but if I don't at least pretend I need to meet deadlines then I'll get lazy, and nobody likes a lazy buggo.
Good news. And as for the timing, it's okay, I've been writing a chapter myself for six months, although I mostly just collected the material. You still write quickly compared to many authors.

I'm all over the place with my writing, from settings and characters to lore and potential offshoots or side plots.
as everyone who follows my work can attest to, and especially those who've seen my works in progress firsthand or spoken to me directly. I have a fully fleshed out world in my head, I just need to finish putting it to paper in consecutive order, and I don't have the singular focus to actually do that most of the time.
