I have a new favourite waste of time:
Mapping Northland, chapter by chapter.
The prologue has just received its map in the author's notes.

Northland has rounded the twenty chapters mark... not bad for a story that was planned to have at most fourteen. This chapter was a lot of fun to write, even if it took very long to do so. It's all nice and shiny, pleasing to the eyes, with a proper map and the usual solid editing. Special thanks to Doppler Effect here for a lot of good ideas in addition to all the ideas from the comments I incorporated.

Had fun with something else as well: soundscaping.

From time to time I need to remind myself that Northland's South Ronaldsays are, in fact, real Icelandic horses.
As they again will be important in the coming chapter, I was pleased to come across Faoileag and Buidhe while browsing horse pictures.

Chapter 19 is being written and for some strange reason a later chapter has already been finished.
Prologue and chapter 1-3 are now edited, revised and, where applicable, rewritten. Turned out very nice.
