Might be wise to reread The Last Sentinel a little... · 11:20pm Jun 14th, 2016
Possibly from Reflection Nineteen: Blood and Water. Possibly before... say, next week.
Just saying.

Just saying.
This seems to be a regularly reoccurring thing with me.
First off, I wish to apologize to all my readers for the stupidly long delays between my stories' installments. I tried starting Off the Record as an attempt to get through the depressing sequence in The Last Sentinel, but using a new perspective is bringing challenges of its own. Seems to be familiar pattern.

The screen is pitch-black.
Frost’s voice echoes, “It’s been awhile since somepony asked me for a story. And kid, you still want more? Well, alright, but here’s the catch…
“... they ain’t mine.”
Hokay... time to just up and say it.
Although I've been looking forward to this current installment of TLS and I've had free time for about three weeks now, I barely wrote. It's just so goddamn depressing a point in the story that it really gets to me, and it just kills my motivation. Which is why I'd like to ask you all a question.

From the company that actually isn’t a company comes a movie that actually isn’t a mov- wait, what? This is for a bo- this isn’t even a book! This is some random guy’s fan fiction! Ugh, let’s try this again…

Hey again, everyone. No, I'm not dead. No, I'm not putting The Last Sentinel on hiatus. I've been slogging through a particularly difficult section, and I actually went through a really rough patch in my personal life due to issues with my parents. Things are... well, they're not completely solid, but they're better now. Support from some close friends definitely helped.
Hey, everyone. Just wanted to wish you all a Happy Hearth's Warming however you celebrate it. Finals are done, and... well, I still have an exam to worry about, namely the PCAT. Which is on January 7th. Which is about an hour-thirty one way to the test center by car. Mreh...
Hello, everyone. Managed to make some progress on Reflection Twenty-Four, albeit only a little. Only around 900 words in, and already a scene that took forever to get (somewhere close to) right. Oi. That's gonna be the trend for the rest of this installment.
As for IRL, things are... okay. Managed to finish off the second round of grad school apps, but Asian parents are being... Asian parents. And then there's finals. Slightly depressed snake is slightly depressed.
And back on schedule. Good news, everyone! Reflection Twenty-Three is on schedule for release on the 18th, which will be TLS' third birthday! I know you've been waiting for a while, and the decision was made to break up what was originally going to be a much larger chapter (with all the content I planned, it could easily double the length of the installment, which is already around 16.5k words long) and would only cause further delays due to how important some of those scenes are. That isn't to
It... has been a very hectic last few weeks for me. Two labs, physical biochem, and grad school apps... again, not fun, folks.
On the plus side, managed to get around 4.5k words done toward the next installment. My hopes are to get it out in time for TLS' third birthday on the 18th. If I can't manage that, I'm going to be a very, very sad snake.
Not much to note, although I did finally see Guardians of the Galaxy. Never heard of it before the movie, but it certainly piqued my interest.
Hi, all. Only about 590 words of progress this week, but I think it might have been the... fourth-toughest scene of the next installment. It's a heavy one. Urgh. Actually had to pull away from the keyboard for a bit to cool off. Here's hoping you get the same feeling I do.
Not much other news otherwise, other than that this quarter is killer on me already. Two labs in a single quarter suck.
Okay, so... a lot of good news and bad news going on here. Bad news is I only got around 1k words done for Reflection Twenty-Three, bringing the total to around 11.5k. That is about... halfway done. I'm starting to realize that Twenty-Three is a very ambitious installment. Lots of content, lots of dialogue, and hopefully lots of feels.
Alrighty, so after transferring the contents of my spiral notebook to the Reflection 23 document... I basically doubled its word count with what I wrote while on vacation. Changing out a scene and continuing to write, I'm sitting at around 10k words. The installment is roughly 1/2 or 2/3's of the way done.
Hi, everyone. Got around 16 pages written in a spiral notebook during vacation. Will have to copy it down on the actual document to see how much progress I made.
Music I linked last time no longer applies. Scrapped the scene it was supposed to fit. Some music for this time. Hopefully.
AAAnd absolutely no progress these last few days. Graah... sorry, everyone. I'll also be on vacation for five days with my family, so I'll hopefully get some writing done then on paper. Not really much else new. Guess I'll just leave some music here and pop off.
Until next time,
Adder1
Let's try to be on time just like this, Adder. That's more like it.
Progress on Reflection Twenty-Three is coming along slowly. Currently sitting around 5k words. Would be more, but... I just have to capture everything right, especially this rendition of Frost, you know?
In other news, tanks. Lots of tanks. And Payday 2. Yes.
Well, after a bit of deliberation on my part, I suppose I'll give Equestria Daily a whirl tomorrow or Tuesday. *crosses his hooves*
I really need to remember to do these on a more consistent basis. 9w6
As a progress update, I got... less than I intended done for Reflection 23. It's currently sitting at 2.5k words, although it went through a rewrite of roughly 3/5's of that. Part of that stems from Frost returning to his roots, so to speak, but at the same time he's a completely different beast. He's older and a bit more experienced, so I'm trying to reflect that... heh, reflect, so not intended.
Hello, everyone. If you haven't noticed, Reflection Twenty-Two is now up for reading. Please enjoy. While Reflection Twenty-Three is underway at around 850 words right now, I do plan to reserve some time to read a select few fics I've been lazy to do so for.
In other news... World of Tanks and Warframe. Bit of Wildstar to add a third 'W' there. Also, if anyone knows a good brony clan on the NA server for WoT, would be nice to know... >.> Also... Asian parent expectations suck. Quite a bit.
