One major reason I haven't put anything out (aside from the obvious falling into ennui and game addiction) is that the script for Skyborne makes less and less sense the more I look at it. The motivations and internal logic are unraveling now. I have a bunch of words, but not a stopping point, and an expansive but far from instructive map forward.

I'm taking a break from Skyborne Dance for a fun reason.

If you're one of those people who's constantly complaining about trying to get yourself to write, I always recommend that people try these. You guys never listen anyway, but I swear, these are fun.

Go read any fic that has a long back-and-forth of dialogue with very little action. Imagine that it's being performed by brushables jumping up and down to "talk" in funny voices.

I've been pondering it, and I think Skyborne Dance would be improved if I made a very major retcon to the second bit--I should leave it so that Rarity and Applejack don't know as much as they currently do before deciding to follow their two pegasus friends.

It helps some stuff flow more logically, and keeps an extra few thousand words of suspense before throwing something as a much more effective twist.
