Guard Tiara News: Bad, Good, Bad. · 8:56pm Aug 28th, 2018
Earlier today, I was thinking about Guard Tiara, and I've come to a decision. It's kind of a bad news, good news, more bad news kind of thing.

Here's a story I was working on shortly after the "Every Little Thing She Does" episode. Thanks to ECT, I have no idea what it was going to be about, but here's the flotsam that remained in Google Docs.
"It isn't working," said the young princess. She idly stirred her tea with her magic, but neglected to take a sip.
Sorry for no updates, as usual (at this point). I've been having some real life stuff happen. TL;DR is that my grandpa is basically nonfunctional from cancer, my grandmother is overworking herself to compensate, and I'm the glue keeping them from falling apart at the moment.
Here are a few updates concerning my fics.
Hello everyone!
I once again have good and bad news. Well at least I hope what I have would be considered to be good news.
Bad News
This is a real shame. I have been doing my research and the Jim Henson Production and Netflix are looking to continue the story in other ways in the future but the series itself has indefinitely been called off.
This is a bummer. The Dark Crystal Age of Resistance was masterfully designed with traditional puppetry, innovative in story and world-building and made with love and care like no other in a while.
Me. I found it. The first script-formatted draft is gone for sure, but I did find the second draft! It was rejected for having godawful garbage-tier formatting, but I patched things up as best as I could without touching anything else. Don't mind the typos and/or occasional broken formatting. I tried to catch as much as possible while keeping the text itself intact.
Warning: apparently there's very light gore. Blame edgy me for that. :P
It's been a while since I posted anything. I've mostly been haunting the forums and such. However, recently I had a strange burst of writing inspiration, and started work on a One-Shot, that is fully storyboarded and I've already started to write it.
However, I just can't bring myself to finish The 1,000th Sun. I don't know why, but I can't. So I've officially canceled it. I did, however write a short explanation of how it should have ended, and released a half-baked cancelled chapter.
Realized I haven't been active in a while, so just thought I'd make a post letting everyone know
1) Yes, I am alive
I have been giving this some thought and what with my progress slowed drastically, I feel this is better both on a strategic and professional level.
My opinion on Friendship Is Failure has not changed but I have come to realise that making the characters worse is insincere and making a fic at all in an accusatory and derisive manner just isn't professional. It makes me no better at the end of the day.
So I'll stop now. I feel like that's best.
Dear people of FiMFiction,
My story, The Story of Lightning Flash, is cancelled for the foreseeable (and most likely all of the) future. This is because I cannot write more of it because of not having enough time with everything going on in my life. It will most likely stay up, but will be cancelled.
Your friend, whenever you need him,
Lightning Flash
War of Two worlds is hereby canceled.
I am obviously not a competent enough author to write such an ambitious project. So I hereby declare War of Two Worlds canceled until I improve my craft. I'll keep it up on my page for the few that did like it. But it is canceled until I reboot it once I am ready.
My deepest apologies.
Synopsis: A story that takes place in Diamond Tiara's future, where things haven't quite unfolded the she'd planned or wanted. Having cut all ties to her father, she finds herself stripping to pay the rent on a crummy little apartment in one of the poorest districts of Equestria, but despite all of the disappoints life has thrown her way, Diamond still finds solace in the one pony who's selflessly stuck by her side through the best of times and this trying period of Diamond's life.
Why are stories allowed to be "incomplete" if they haven't received an update in a year? Heck, sometimes I come across "incomplete" stories that haven't been updated in three years - just set that to "On Hiatus" or "Cancelled"!
The plot twist in The Ending of The End where Grogar and Discord are one and the same entity is just distasteful and unsatisfactory. To add insult to injury, Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy Glow were turned to stone as punishment for their crimes. I feel like this is the worst 2-parter I've ever seen in the show.
Grading Scale:
A (fantastic episode)
A- (an excellent episode with at least one flaw)
B+ (a great episode with a couple of flaws)
B (a good episode which still could have been better)
A year has passed since I finally finished This Can't Be Happening. Quite a lot has happened since then for me and as I predicted the end of that story didn't come with much fanfare, but it was at least a huge load off and satisfying feeling to finish it after all that time. That's left me with Don't Go To Sleep, the other story abandoned by my lazy update schedule. Back when I finished TCBH I put out the idea of either continuing the story as it was, or rebooting it entirely in an attempt to
G5 is fucking godawful and I hate fucking everything about it!!!!!!!! PLEASE LET US BLOCK ALL STORIES SET IN THAT PIECE OF SHIT SERIES, BECAUSE I FUCKING HATE LOOKING AT THOSE CHARACTERS!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you.
This really sucks. I like Braeburn's Ascension; or, The Courtship of Pinkamena Diane Pie. I like what it's trying to do. I like where it wants to go. It just will not go those places. It will not do what it's meant to do.
So... anyone else notice a distinct lack of work being done on my older stories? Hero Souls and Tartarus Forged, to be specific.
With Tartarus Forged, I've actually been considering recently whether or not I want to just scrap it completely and try again with a different approach. This is one of the first stories I started that actually gained some popularity. I don't want to just abandon it, but I can't deny I have absolutely no drive to write it currently.
ThunderCats Roar is finally cancelled.
Head over to this article to find out why.
It was never a good idea to begin with. Unsurprisingly, it has a really low IMDb rating of 2.1 out of 10. So yeah, good riddance, TCR. You won't be missed. In you go to the incinerator where awful reboots belong.
