In short, I’m making it official: The climactic Twilight chapter of Harmonic Resonance is being broken up again, as it will take a three-parter to complete and do justice. I expect the chapter draft of part 2 to be finished within the next day, so you can expect at least a 9k chapter sometime in the next week. How fast it’s out will depend on how fast I can get feedback from prereaders and the commissioner back on it.

After running my new chapter past prereaders and discussing it with them, the conclusion was unanimous—they loved all of it including the powerful combat scenes and especially some very hot adult action at the end, but the ending scene exceeded an R-rating. The former was coming frustratingly slowly as I couldn’t seem to find the correct angle for it, while the latter was coming quite quickly. I was working on the next main story chapter and thought it might be ready within days.

I’m happy to say the pain is slowly subsiding, and with it, the need for painkillers, though I still need a modicum of them to eat anything more than a protein shake. I made some spaghetti and meat sauce yesterday and ate it rather gingerly, in very small pieces. Might have been a mistake because my throat felt raw and inflamed afterwards, probably from the acid in the tomatoes.
