One of my first, and best, friends on this website came out with a story today. If all you lovely people could maybe give it a chance and read it for him, I'd be super appreciative. Plus, ya know, Wallflower Blush is pretty dang cool, right? Here's the link:
With Love
~ Not Enough Coffee
Howdy, hi!
I am posting the sequel to Running Off the Rails tomorrow (September 20th) Blooms on the Trellis.
Hope you look forward to it because I look forward to sharing it!
So, my amazing girlfriend and I had such a blast writing Accidentally In Yeet together that we decided to collab on another story of SunFlower shenanigans! With the help of some incredibly talented friends who edited the story (as well as a third, our
Sunset Shimmer invites Wallflower Blush for a visit to Equestria, but forgets about pony mating season.
Read it here!
...It's actually 25 hours but whatever, who's counting? Certainly not me. I'd never do that. Math is for nerds.
We've had a ton of entries over the past few days and good h*cking gosh lemme tell you, judging the best is gonna be hard cuz these are all so good like for real you should all go read them you have no idea.
Good hecking gosh, what a turnout.
As of last night when submissions closed, we received 41 ENTRIES, plus a myriad of other stories inspired by the contest that weren't submitted themselves. When it comes to spreading the eternal truth that is SunFlower to the masses, we can consider this contest a rousing success.
For those of you who were waiting for the conclusion for Recollections, apologies for the delay. Writing the ending took a lot longer than was expected. Hopefully, the chapter should be ready to publish by Monday at the earliest. Thank you for your patience, and I hope you guys have enjoyed the story so far.
Wallflower Blush
Age: 16
Sexual Orientation: Gay. Gay gay gay gay gay! So gay she's almost jovial! Totally, unrepentantly, gloriously GAY!
She likes girls. She REALLY likes Sunset Shimmer.
Vehicle: Wallflower owns a Vespa and it's the most adorable thing in the world to see her riding it.
Income: Right now, Wallflower doesn't have a job of any kind, preferring to spend her time on the CHS garden. She gets a modest allowance.
Only one week left in the SunFlower Shipping Contest! Submissions close on April 10 at 11:59PM PDT, so be sure to submit your story to the contest group before then \o/
It's apparent I like adverb-comedy, but my first writing love has always been something a bit different: the murder mystery. Hell, here's an absolutely true fact about me: I partly learned to read with this delightful book one of my older siblings had lying around. (This may start to explain other things about me, too, come to think of it...)
Hey all, just wanted to provide some updated info regarding the contest! If you don't know what that is, check out the contest announcement post here for information about submission guidelines, where to submit, and a general FAQ.
This is the fluffiest Sunset/Wallflower fic I’ve ever read and it is pure and wholesome and should be read.
Go read Premarital Smooching by the superlative and wonderful Scampy.
Fair warning, the rest of their stuff is sad as hell.
As you know, the story:
was among the winners.
The reward was:
- 2nd Place: A flat, full body art piece by Mutter Butter.
It's finally time!! Before we get into it, here's a neato announcement—at the last second, we got an anonymous donation to the prize pool, with a request that the money goes towards bumping up the judge's awards from $5 to $20! Thank you so much, anonymous money fairy 🙏
On that note, we'll start with the judge's awards (now worth $20 each!), then get into the top five \o/
I stopped what I was working on and decided to write a story for a contest I saw posted. The contest is for stories that ship Sunset Shimmer and Wallflower Blush in EQG, so if that sounds like something up your alley then feel free to check it out. The link to the contest is in the description so go check out all the other awesome entries. For me, I approached it like I usually do by writing how I feel it would happen in canon within the existing universe.
Five-hundred likes. Over eight-hundred bookshelves. Top of the feature list for five days. Even now it's still hanging out on the list taking its final bows. I am unbelievably overjoyed with everyone's reception to it.
Grading Scale:
A (fantastic episode)
A- (an excellent episode with at least one flaw)
B+ (a great episode with a couple of flaws)
B (a good episode which still could have been better)
B- (a good episode with numerous flaws but still rewatchable)
Anyone who knows my work has probably, at some point, come across my SunFlower saga which was written for the lovely and adorable Scampy. On the heels of that Scampy is now hosting a big ol' Contest with prizes and everything, and yours truly is one of the judges.
If you've ever wanted to take a shot at writing some fluffy/angsty romance give us a shout, and check it out!
