Tag yourself, I'm dabbing Wally
-I discovered Rick and Morty. Why did no one tell me how friggin' hilarious this show is? (Apologies if you did. I have a poor short term memory.)
-I got two bad electric shocks from equipment I used in my back yard and now I'm stiff and sore all over, but at least I am ALIVE. You idiot, Mammoth.
-Walked around the Botanical Gardens and saw carnivorous plants.
-Got some drawing done:
Hey all, I know still nothing for you, I guess I'll come clean and keep it short.
It ends with this paragraph, after all:
So fortunately—or maybe unfortunately—I have taken up the hobby of interviewing other writers.
Not doing very well again.
Multiple reasons. It's probably a good thing I decided to take a break from writing before this happened but it likely would have gone this way anyway.
Need to curl up away from things that stress me out. Curl up like baby Discord.
I was meant to do some writing this evening but instead got partially dragged into an argument with family members on FB.
Joy.
Hold me.
Pull up a chair. Listen to some good music. It's going to be a long one, folks.
A short informal essay on the issue of drinking a little too much, moderate pain and minuscule reward, and pondering why someone would keep doing such an act. A bit of a character study; a bit of why we should trust in our feelings.
Find out more below the break.
Wanna know something that we don't see nowadays?
Afterward, author notes... whatever the hell you wanna call it, the overall function is about the same: to allow the author to write about that which they have written. Notice how it doesn't have to be anything more than that? I defined it as such on purpose.
Seriously. Bringing up old drama in an attempt to shame people on an unrelated topic is wrong. The fact that people think it's okay and support it is disgusting, frankly. Grow up and learn how to take criticism rather than write essays about how bad of a person I am.
Because A. I'm not going to read it anyway and B. You're wasting your precious time on some idiot on the Internet, why the fuck do you care what I think of a story.
I feel that, before we go any further, I must make it abundantly clear that I am by no means a Harry Potter fan. When I was a child I held no interest towards it, and now as a young adult, I have managed to find other franchises and fanbases to partake in.
However, since I was of one of the extreme minority that didn't partake in the Harry Potter craze, I felt it was time to finally see what all the damn fuss was about these movies.
>Wants to diversify the school.
>Excludes an entire gender, despite race.
>Posts an immature picture about it.
Yeah smart move, lady. It's not like Hate Speech isn't a crime in the United Kingdom.
Marikazemus34 posted this in a skype group and bam it's exploding. I suggest you check it out too.
Just a bit of an update on the lesser literary side of my life.
Finally secured a job in my new location. It's still part time, but it's close by, and the pay and benifits are significantly better than my last gig. So, that's at least a little bit of weight of my mind. Hoping to have more on the writing front soon
So, I just got done reading the copyright and fair use laws. Ugh... basically, it's impossible for artists and other creators to turn a profit on their works (fan fiction or fan art) even when it's pretty obvious the "product" is not official. I guess some companies are pretty lenient, but when I can't seel my drawings because, god forbid, some asshole thinks my character is copyrighted -ahem- DA prints reviewer -cogh- by someone who didn't create her.
I actually read a Chuck Tingle book, today. When I say that he is the best self-published mainstream erotic writer I have ever encountered, you will understand that I am drawing from a rather shallow pool. Nonetheless -- his stories are actually really funny, and, well... hotter than you'd expect a story about sucking a GBP's cock to be. More importantly -- they are unique. Nobody talks about "Dominated by the Were-Stallion" or whatever. But they talk about these books.
Today the EU Copyright Directive which I discussed a couple weeks ago has, unfortunately, taken it's next step into becoming law.
The Good News; I was apparently somewhat mistaken on the timetable and today's vote wasn't the final vote, which means there's still time.
I just realized that I'm procrastinating on a spin-off by working more on the main story than I have in two years.
The problem here is that most people who followed that story already think it's dead, so I don't feel as guilty not updating that... unlike with Endstone and Harmony
Admittedly, I've been going through a bit of an artistic slump, so everything except my main tumblr has seen minimal use for the past couple of weeks.
