As the title says what is your favorite, least liked to most hated portrayal of the Sun Princess? For me its benevolent tries her best god-like Celestia and my most hated is Tyrant Celestia(especially when it is used to make Luna look good. i.e. a good chunk of lunar republic fic.)

Funnily enough one of my biggest gripe with the whole Solar empire vs Lunar republic is that people misused the word republic when the lunar Republic is a monarchy with Luna at the top.

Whether they portray her as a leader or a warrior or a loving presence, I love the stories that give Celestia real depth of character and make her a strong and compelling character, one with real personality and depth to her.

The portrayal of her in fic that I hate the most? Just as much as the "evil Celestia" or Tyrantlestia meme, I hate the stories that just simply make her incompetent or otherwise foolish so as to be shown up by whoever (Luna, a crossover character, an OC, take your pick). It's just lazy writing, shameful garbage.

I always perfer the 'worpd of cardboard dont mistake my restraint, kindness and mercy as a weakness or I will go old testament on you're ass type Celestia. She is comptent and not to be trifled with. For hated, you pretty much hit the nail on the head, Tyrantlestia is pretty much the reason this group was founded. Best version? Hard to say, anything that makes her more than just a princess.

I like momlestia, kind and caring to her subjects and detest 'Molestia,' that abominations is truly repugnant.

The portrayal I dislike the most is when the writer tries to make her relatable™ with which I mean the one that throws her characterization out of the window in favor of this goofy/silly/overemotional/immature Celestia that is basically just an abnormally big white pony.

You ever read this crossover? I like the concept but hate how Celestia is protrayed . She is pretty much Sunsets door mat. I hope there would be a point where Celestia says enough is enough and give sunset a taste of what her real power is. Just to get her point across.

My favourite portrayal of Celestia is basically the one of the show: very powerful, extremly intelligent and incredibly kind. The one, that does not want to be worshipped, eventhough she absolutely deserves to be worshipped.

The portrayal I hate the most, is any portrayal that claims her to be weak, useless, stupid or incompetent and where she gets punished, as if she deserves it. And as it was mentioned in the comments here several times: It's especially distasteful, if Celestia is belittled/ridiculed/punished in order to make someone else look good, like Luna, Twilight, etc.
I also especially dislike those "comedy" fics, where Discord is much more powerful than her and he can do whatever he wants and Celestia gets always the short end of the stick.
My actual headcannon is, that Celestia is a lot more powerful than him and the only reasons why she doesn't directly attack him, are a) because he is "slippery" and is good at getting away (like Bin Laden, who is also way less powerful than a US-President, but can hide and still do a lot of damage) and b) because Celestia is no murderer and probably has an aversion towards violence.

And I really like Momlestia stories, stories where she's benevolent and can be a leader but we get to see what she's like as an average pony.

Well, I don't know many anti-celestia-crossovers, but one was a crossover with Team Fortress 2, in which Celestia childishly steals something from them and then they punish her (probably even killing her). I can't remember the title.

On the other hand, I know at least one crossover where Celestia is a badass. It's a crossover with Starcraft and it's about Celestia fighting a Zerg army. It's title is "A close shave".
Also there is the story called "Why nobody messes with Celestia", which is a crossover with Mass Effect.
